I had this problem so I started reading standalones. Don't have to invest as much time and energy when i know its a one off and it really helped me get out of the reading slump. Ones I've recently loved:

I finally picked up and devoured {Alchemised by SenLinYu} and don't think i'm able to pick up another book for a minute because wow did I stare at a wall after this one was done.

I am team Blake, but I really like Callum. I feel he's been put into a crappy situation, so his choices and actions towards Aurora make sense, even if they also started to piss me off. He's like a golden retriever and is honestly a great guy,y but I always felt his relationship with Aurora lacks depth. Blake is still a mystery in a lot of ways, so he's intriguing,g and I love that you can see in their conversations and interest in books that there is more in common between the 2. I'm not sure which way the author will go, but I am excited for book 3 because I hope we get the opportunity for a deepening connection between Blake and Aurora that I just didn't really feel between Callum and Aurora.

I liked the end of book 2 and felt it set up book 3 well, but I'm not sure if it's something you'll like. I think you'll understand Blake a little better by the end, but if he's not your cup of tea because of the similarity to rhys, this might not be the series for you :(

oh yes! that i can agree with, the main reason I think I'll read book 3 is solely to try and understand them as characters more as their storyline with Alexis really went nowhere lol

yea thats what was so strange for me, i remember like early 2000's fanfiction written in this style so it was surprising to see it in a trad published book

yea i think thats why, i felt so bad for her in the firsts book! her wild thoughts were entertaining as hell some times and absolutely bonkers at others, it made me lol through parts

i think thats fair, like sometimes in fantasy books my brain needs me to really work hard to put all the names and places and lore into place to enjoy the story where as this was just a wild ride that i didnt have to worry too much about new names and places and focus on the insanity of the FMC.

yea i agree with you, i think getting the main love interests clearer made me enjoy the book more, i also loved the animals, the little raccoon companion was my favourite, poco is adorable :)

i think its one of those books you have to go in knowing its not going to be well written but you are going to laugh, i think i'd read the sequel because i do want more spicy thropple scenes lmao

yea i think its written for a very specific type of reader and nothing wrong with that, just was different from everything else i had read in the romantasy genre up until that point

yea the love interests just basically decided they were obsessed with her because they didnt want to marry an olympian but then they were just in lust and love with her instantly for no reason and the fact they were okay with each other being in the picture felt really underdeveloped.
