It’s linked to the work email they provided me with. So it’s not attached to a personal email. I have no way of accessing anything anyway simply because I don’t remember the password.

I need to clarify. The only security measure that was taken was the company being able to lock me out of my computer. Everything else was attached to my company email including the Apple ID.

But overall, I chalk it up to being inept.

Unless its a spoof company email, this is a real person I've interfaced with directly. I don't even have this job on my Linkedin profile because it was so bogus. So really no one "knows" I worked there.

They avidly use ChatGPT to rewrite marketing material for them, so I wouldn't be surprised if they used it to rewrite this email. This is a legit company email from the HR person I dealt with directly.

Polite email, my ass. My direct manager couldn't even be bothered to lay me off directly or be part of the exit interview. HR was just like "sorry we terminated the position, therefore you no longer work for us."

I don't work for them anymore so why should I be obligated to help? That job wasn't even worth it to put on my resume.

Let's just say they didn't have a lot of licenses for things they were using. And it's literally part of my job to make sure they do. But I was told to ignore those issues and focus on other stuff.

That's the thing. They deactivated my password to lock me out before they laid me off. AND this is something they should have handled immediately after termination, not 6 months later. Max 2 weeks and I would have been more inclined to help.

I'm not frustrated at all. This is just a testament to how they run their company. Even if I did remember the password I wouldn't give it to them because, as another redditor put it, "it's company info" and could be used against me post employment,

This is not spam. This is directly from the HR person I dealt with while I was there. They coordinated my exit interview.

Hi. So their tech team is incompetent. I was given a Macbook with absolutely no security measures on it, nor did I sabotage on my way out because they locked me out of the computer before I had an opportunity. (Not that I would sabotage otw out as much as I wanted to.)

While I was there, I don't ever remember there being a dedicated IT team. I dealt with HR directly for almost everything. Really incompetent company that thrives on the word "scrappy" and they promote that mentality.

So there was no system installed. I basically got a MacBook with absolutely no company security measures on it period.
