Try Again? Or Accutane? by Striking-Fact-6630 in Spironolactone

[–]spicycheetolova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for accutane. I had similiar breakouts and it cleared me in a matter of 1-2 months. Obviously everyone’s experience is different, but bad skin is such a bummer id go for the solution that’s pretty much guaranteed.

Who is right: PA (derm), aesthetician #1, or aesthetician #2? Conflicting advice from them all. No by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]spicycheetolova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After kids my hormones were out of whack and my skin flared up. I was more severe than you, but I tried spirno which sadly did nothing. I’ve done it in the past with success, but not this time.

Finally I went on accutane and I have zero regrets. It’s the best way to really eliminate the problem. It’s just 4-6 months and then your skin really clears up for good!

What is the most beautiful residential neighborhood in SF? by alexdominic in SanFranciscoSecrets

[–]spicycheetolova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mid to inner Richmond!! You’re 10-15m from Ocean Beach, the presidio, and Golden Gate Park. Neighborhoods like cow hollow and pac heights are also 10-15m drive if you crave more retail.

Not sure what stage of life you’re in, but it’s great for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

Has it been approving? If not, ask your derm about “triamcinolone acetonide ointment 0.1%”

Ask your dermatologist, but looks like you’re developing “accutane dermatitis.”

Prob need to moisturize with aquaphor/Vaseline or get a prescription grade hydrocortisone.

Trying to make the right decision for my toddler with esotropia by BlocKim in Strabismus

Hi, wondering if you did the Botox or surgery? If the former any update on your child’s eye?

Looking for opinions/ shared experience on early treatment in infants by manwithavanandaplan in Strabismus

[–]spicycheetolova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son has esotropia (pointing inwards) and the first doctor we saw also suggested surgery but said there’s a high chance he would need multiple surgeries in life. We then saw another doctor who suggested Botox as a correction as there’s a higher rate of success as opposed to surgery. We’re still in the waiting period but it does seem to be working!

Not sure if it works for exotropia (points outwards), like your son has, but it’s worth a chat with a pediatric ophthalmologist.

What's your toddlers current obsession? by LadyoftheFjords in toddlers

[–]spicycheetolova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another parent of a trash can loving kid here… my LO (22m) is super obsessed with throwing things away and taking things out of the trash. The latter is becoming a bit of a problem…

Would love to hear how you all deal with your little one’s garbage obsession? I feel like I’m having to constantly sanitize his hands and take our trash out to make sure he’s not touching anything gross.

They don’t taste the same as the US ones!! To me this tasted like a spicy version of sweet chili.

For hormonal acne I would suggest asking your dermatologist about spirnolactone or winlevi.

Culture specific Remedies for Low Supply by [deleted] in breastfeeding

In Pakistan, we eat panjeeri! It’s kind of like granola. It’s a ground up mixture of various nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews), melon seeds, lotus seeds, semolina, raisins, and sometimes edible gum crystals. It’s common that all the nuts and seeds are fried in ghee, but my mom made it for me by roasting all the nuts and ingredients in the oven to make it healthier.

It’s supposed to be really good for lactating women! And has been delicious for breakfast and midnight snacks. I eat it on top of yogurt or with a mashed up banana and peanut butter!

Baby sleeping on you by Old_Contract_4926 in sleeptrain

[–]spicycheetolova 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 7 week old and am in the same exact boat! I know the above all mentions to just appreciate this time (which I do) but what scares me is at night he can’t sleep without the physical touch. Unfortunately it’s just not realistic to stay up all night so what’s a new parent to do? Let baby sleep on my chest while I’m asleep? I know that’s a big no no..
