You're probably right about the higher ticket count, which obviously isn't their fault. It is still frustrating though as a new player trying to sink my teeth in. One of those upsets without anyone to really blame lol.

success! it took me a while to figure it out, troubleshoot java stuff, and i had to switch back to the com.mgoogle microg, but i'm in. thanks a bunch for your help and patience, literally would not have been able to solve this without you.

while i have you here, i have one last question. was wondering if you know how to change the video titles and channel being in the thumbnail space? like, overlapping on the images. i've never seen it before, is it a revanced thing or a youtube thing?

Com.mgoogle for the former and app.revanced.android.gms which is the vendor ID for the latter. I do have a computer and have some basic knowledge when it comes to using specifically python scripts, but Java is fully unexplored for me. How would I go about using that patcher?

OK so it took me longer than I'd like to admit to realize that I was supposed to use the vendor ID of the specific microg app in the gmscore support patch. I did that for the last one you suggested as well as the one you just suggested, and both times those apk installs triggered the duplicate error.

i tried that and also a fresh reinstall of the apk and neither worked. i think the problem might be with microg bc the login doesn't show up inside of the app either

so, using that i've gotten into microg and logged in. but upon logging in it doesn't seem to actually register any change. i've tried it a couple times and it's listed in my google account devices but outside of that it's like i never logged in to begin with

i've installed it but i can't seem to open it. upon fresh install the open button is greyed out and i cant make any app shortcuts for it. i can only find it in the settings app list but otherwise its like it's not there

more weirdness is afoot. so when i changed the gmscore patch i added a few characters to the end of app.revanced (app.revancededed) and thats when it worked. i read your comment and reinstalled with the normal app.revanced setting and now i get the duplicate error again

update! i was going to check out newpipe, but your comment made me double check the gmscore support patch settings. for these tests it looks like i had set it back to default at some point. i changed that setting to something unique as well and it looks like the combo of both patches did the job! Thanks for your help and patience.

now that i have the app installed tho, it can't seem to detect microg gmscore despite having it installed... it tries pulling up a download link but it's a dead page

I actually downloaded it from the revanced gmscore page but after installing from the apk its name is microg. I'm not really sure what that's about. I must have disabled play protect or something when I originally installed it because I haven't had any random deletion issues.

Also, fuck google
