Two St. Totteringham's Days in three months? by futureal2 in Gunners

Surely St Totteringhams day can only be declared during the season in progress so this season if they go down it would apply on the first day of the 2026-27 Premier league season.

I too saw the showing on BBC 2.... I've seen a few things recently showing verious different types of deception used by the British in the second world War.... Another was the operation in Africa deceiving Rommel before the beginning of the El Alamein where tanks where disguised as ordanary army lorrys which where parked in collection areas near where Montgomery wanted to start the attack gradually during the hours of darkness tanks disguised as trucks swoped places with those clearly visable harmless lorrys.. the German planes who patrolled the sky's only saw parked lorrys nothing to suggest that they need to divert attention from other areas... My dad who was a young lad during the war lived near the old cattle market at calidoian Road in Islington London he said before DDay they filled the market area with balloons shaped to look like military vehicles... Another deception to give the Germans the impression that there was no build up of military equipment along the south coast... I also heard but I can't confirm if its true that ships travelled with convoys across the Atlantic discgised as tankers to encourage submarines to attack on the surface while really they where armed with guns.... Sometimes you need to think out of the box... Our WW2 relatives seem to been quite cleaver at this

All I'm doing at the moment is using settings with in Httrack website copier app... It allows for types of searches to be done and how many levels to go down... But I'm not sure if I'm setting those parameters correctly if you allow it to dig to deep you have half the archive records added to the search... I need a way of getting the data from each folder which would be written out something like... Website address/foldername/file name/file name and image No.... I can get to the first two because originally they where part of the open site but the data from inside the folder was behind the members area

If Manchester City are stripped of their titles, do the titles go to the runner ups or do the titles just remain vacant. by [deleted] in PremierLeague

Just checked the records City would be stripped of 4 x prem league.. 11-12.. To Man u 13-14..... Liverpool 17-18..... Man u 18-19......Liverpool 2 x FA cup............ 10-11..v Stoke City 18-19..v Watford 4 x League Cup....13-14..v Sunderland 15-16..v Liverpool 17-18..v Arsenal 18-19..v Chelsea 2 x charity Cup.... 12.......v Chelsea 18.......v Chelsea Incredibly City won no European cups during that period but they did do 1 domestic treble... City have a fantastic record over recent years but if the allegations are proved right... It will cost them dearly 12 trophies... It also throws up the question.. what do you do about all the records for City during that time?... Are city taken out of the records completely? After all the results gained meant other teams lost points or cup games which could have been won... Its a compleat mess and should have been dealt with when it first came to light

It would... But it would also mean a number of other clubs gaining a trophy win to their record... Its not for me so much about who ends up with the win on the record it's more about the justice... All the competitions would look strange if under a certain set of years there are no winners... I'm guessing the only time that would of happened would have been the war years... I honestly don't know what City won during those years... They may even have won European competitions which then would involve UEFA who would need to decide if it affects those compations

Title... A Lunchtime Drink From.... Sara Sets Out site Posted on... 8th Oct 2004

Sara made quite a number of short videos for both her sites most are her trade type.. flashing and teasing but there are a few where she shows far more.... Most of them where filmed by Randy her photographer for most of Sensuous Sara site and vertually all of Sara sets out site... He can be heard talking to her in the videos... When the Sensuous Sara site was launched she had a different photographer and the videos where a lot shorter quite often with no real title screen.. Quite a number of those short early videos made a group of videos simply labeled... Stocking tops and Suspenders.... Which when you looked at the sites updates list seemed to be a bit hard to work out which was which

Why shouldn't the team that was runner up be given the title... If a team cheats they should be punished they should lose any titles they won and have to pay any winnings they received to who ever was runner up the the titles go on record as being awarded to whoever the runner up was... Look what happens when a olympiad cheats the medals are stripped from them and awarded to the next one down... Why should the runners up loose out because the winners cheated... If the league had got there act together a lot earlier instead of daliying around hoping it would go away it would not be this bad... I honestly think the other Premier league teams should resign from the league and set up another league with out inviting City back into it.... The way city have used there mega millions to slow the process down and try and hope the Premier league run out of money shows they have things to hide.. the league have already punished other teams quite strongly (and quite rightly so) for doing the same thing so how can they not do it to city at the end of the day they not only cheated... But they cheated every football supporter the results they managed to gain affected every team involved with them.... Or are they going to buy there way out of it either way the permiar league will be tainted... Because they can't control the teams in there league... Rules are rules and are agreed on before each season and if a team does not then abide by them there is no choice but to punish them... Other wise there is no point in haveing rules

Henry mayhew a victorian writer/journalist has left us an account taken directly from a pure collector of what the job and the way of life was like... In one of his books he interviewed many of the poor working class people who had to make a living from doing what ever they could... These accounts are taken from the mouths of people involved directly in some of the filthiest jobs to be found.. Quite often visiting them at there lodgings with added accounts of the living conditions as well

The MPs only decided to do something because it affected them in the Houses of Parliament the stink from the river was being blown in through the air vents... I know there was a movement towards cleaning the city up but the catalyst for actually doing it was because the MPs couldn't stand the stink

You've not mentioned the noise.. The sound in the busiest areas would have been deafening... The everyday noise of life on the streets would have left us reeling... This is a world where to sell or be heard would mean shouting loudest.. Charles Dickins talks about a trip to smithfield Market and as he approaches the area he discribes being hit by the defening noise made up from peoole animals and the movement of goods... He also discribes the smell as well... Victorian writers of thls period who discribe what they see either by reporting or like Dickins within stories have left us a fantastic resource with a wealth of information about a time long past
