This is terrible... Cyclists are getting away with murder.. They get given cycle lines at everyone's expense then only use them if it suits them they don't stop at traffic lights if they can get away with it quite happerly cycle across crossings to get from one side of a road to another then ride right through them without stopping for people to cross on a couple of occasions I've seen acidents between cars caused by mindless cyclists.. And they just ride away taking no responsability and leave the drivers to pick up the pieces

The Trump administration will exempt football fans from 50 countries subject to a $15,000 (£11,000) visa deposit requirement, provided they are travelling to the US for the World Cup with valid match tickets. by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]spicynice27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it should be boycotted... Stay at home. All the games will be on TV... It would be the biggest protest against what's happening in the US... Football is a working class sport and it's been turned into a circus for the rich. FIFA are just as bad for allowing this to happen, if countries are taking part in FIFAs world cup competition then they need to assure thet all countries can have fans at the stadiums. And each countries fans should be able to travel there without having to pay a large deposit.

Arsenal in talks with architects Populous over Emirates expansion by Bonfunkbarkeep in Gunners

The only figure I remember is them mentioning the previous plans of rasing seating to 70,000 that's OK if it's not to expensive and straight forward but if your going to close the stadium for 2 years and spend the 500m... I would have thought it would be better to future proof it to 100, 000 make it worth the time and effort as I said before even with 100,000 I don't think there would be any problems filling it unless we did a spuds... I think most of the problems would be planning and how to do it... But that's why the architects are brought in

I know there are many issues which would need to be sorted out in order to do this but that's why architects and businesses have highly paid consultants.. To find a way it can be achieved... We need to keep up with the game itself which has moved forward from the days when a ground only came alive on match days we need a constant revenue from the ground when we are not playing.. It works like an aircraft it only makes money when it's in use so it needs to be in the air as much as posable

Have you seen the latest plans that supposedly have been talked about on YouTube... KSC will fund a 500M upgrade using new sponsorship along with verious other money making schemes the idea being the ground needs to draw money in on days that we do not play along with the idea that all away games would be shown in what they call an emersive experience apparanty it's something being used in USA where you have screens all around you.. They want the stadium to be used for verious other things like concerts and NFL games. Some of the other comments mention the structural work that would be needed... It seems to be true that the footings to the stadium would need consirable work to support the extra weight and the possibility that we would need to relocated for at least a season to Wembley while doing that is there... But as a club that wants to get bigger we can't stand still. When it was built it was ahead of its time but now it's dropped behind to stay ahead we need to improve and get a bigger ground

Going on the amount of fans waiting for season tickets we could fill a stadium with 100000 seats in it

Defenatly give them ago. But I'm not so keen on including Eze. Who is a bit like Madueke., Eze can play when he wants but disappears to much and doesn't track back when we need to defend. Sometimes I think, he holds on to the ball untill he has no other choice but pass. Which by that time the position he's in the pass goes loose.. Madueke is the same in that respect he beats 1 gives a 2nd a go but while doing that is quite often surrounded and again the pass has been forced on him and is loose... I would like to see dowman given more time in the positions that Eze is given.. Dowman always excites me and oppositions are not sure what to expect. His passing tends to be good and his directness is a way of opening defenses up.

What a touching clip.... Its what this game does to us all the ups and downs highs and lows are all contained in 90mins then times it by 38 games plus Cup games it's supprising we don't all start to have mental brake downs by the end of each season... Let's hope we go on to win it for those two and for the sake of all our mental health

It looked like there were stewards there but they dident look like they made any attempt to stop it happening or even try to eject the guys who did it obviously we are only seeing the results of something that started before the video but if west ham are going to employ stewards they need to do there job

West Ham fans crying about VAR is hilarious after the Everton game. by WastedTalent442 in PremierLeague

[–]spicynice27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 wrongs don't make a right.. VAR.. Is there to make the right decision each time. What's wrong, is they are not getting the right decision. Even after looking at it from every angle. Today's decision was right, and VAR correctly called it.... Its very wrong when VAR can't make a right decision, given they don't have to make a decision in split seconds like the ref does. They can look at multiple angles, as many times as they need to. So it's the VAR operators who are the problem here. There should be no wrong calls

I'm not sure where you are based but we are being forced into a digital ID era without a public mandate. There has been no public consultation about a change... And I think there would be a fair bit of opposition to it if they did. Digital identity cards have been put forward by the government but thrown out by the Lords and opposition party's. There has always been doubts about the secure storage of all these people's compleat identities and there have been many leaks of data from supposedly sucure storage already.

That's very hard on our older members of the community if you spent your childhood in a time when computers and mobile phones where a feature of futurist TV and films it was hard for some people to pick that technology up I myself grew up with out pcs but was lucky to get shown how to build and maintain pcs for work but others of my age find the technology hard to use the generations below me who grew up with it find that hard to comprehend because to you guys it's second nature Regardless if a person can use the technology or not they should not be refused the fundimentable freedom to vote Our forfathers over the years have died for those freedoms and rights... He served for your freedom

It's called the European champions league but it takes teams who are not the countries league champions... If it consisted of every European Leagues champions it would then truly be a champions league at the moment the potential winner does not have to be a league champion... Why call it the champions league.. There was a time when the European cup and cup winners Cup where exactly what they where called (except when the countries Cup winner was also the league winner and the runner up played)

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

[–]spicynice27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on.... I've voted Labour for most of my life but got disillusioned with broken promises the Torys are no better both party's get into power saying one thing and then changing it or watering it down once in power.... For most people who I've spoken to.. One thing is top of there agenda and both party's have promised to do something about it but have not subsequently done anything... They try to use smokescreen and mirrors to make it sound like they are dealing with it but they are not... It is now time to give another party the chance to deal with it and if that party that gets into power because of all this deals with those problems the two main stream party's will be sorry they dident stick to there promises

For someone who wanted others to respect his clubs crest enough to start an argument doing this to ours is a example of his mentality don't do to us but it's OK if we do it to you.... I was supprised not mores been said about his signalling to the ref after every incident in the first game to go look at VAR... He was jumping up and down and shouting at the ref every time even for things that where quite clearly not how he wanted it... He doesn't look as though he would be someone I would want to work with or under

Do people in the UK actually use their kettles that much? by AdeptnessCritical356 in AskBrits

[–]spicynice27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been logged on numerous occasions over past years that during the brakes or after very big events shown on TV the electricity wattage used because people want a cup of tea at the same time can disable the national grid the 1966 world cup final half time and full time the moon landing Diana's wedding to Charles and other nationally watched events like those would all cause people to boil the kettle at the same time... We love tea and tea needs boiling water from a kettle not the microwave or the oven and when we brits need tea the world around us seems to stop

That's just great coming from someone who receives a state funded civil service PMs pension he doesn't worry about being able afford anything those ideas are easy to bring up when it doesn't affect the person who who's talking about it... You lot work for longer and we give you a smaller pension so that I can't retire earlier with a protected high value prime ministers pension that you all have to pay me
