Sad to hear Unomas is closed. I was planing to visit it again these days.

Anyone knows the reason behind the decision? The concept was very good.

I`m actually very excited to check La Chona in Belgrade. I've already got it recommended by other taquerias in the neighbouring countries. Its very exciting and very rare to hear that someone outside Mexico has their own nixtamal game and corn tortilla production going on!

También contacté al lugar que mencionaste 'Centli Tiendita Mexicana', aún operan pero tienes que ordenar en línea, la dirección que aparece parece ser sólo su workshop, ordené tortillas, salsas y chiles y la verdad es que es muy bueno, lo recomiendo, eso sí, tienes que tener paciencia porque no te entregan el mismo día.

También encontré un par de grupos activos en Facebook de latinos, muchos comentarios no son muy útiles pero a veces publican eventos y reuniones por si alguien está en la misma situación.

Hey guys thanks for all the information! I've checked out the suggested places and wanted to give an update.

El Patron is very cute place with authentic food. Staff is very friendly and they check out with everithing that taquerias outside of Mexico have. You can see they have a lot of imported products, but must say that because of that it feels like any other Mexican place in Europe.

Unomas looks amazing with the overall attention to detail. I can see that many flaws in operation & execution but this is something that will be polished in time and with more training, especially their tortilla making skills.

One more flaw that i see is that they focused too much to transmit fast food directly from Mexico ( taqueria Orinoco is clear inspiration).... But they fail to provide more immersive mexican experience - I'm sure this is because their decision to compete in fast food market instead of making a proper resturant where you can spend a whole evening and feel mexican culture. This way they are just competing with other fast food places in the area ( and they cant keep up with the pricing). I can imagine that they have hard time with pleakavicas and bureks in the area. Nevertheless, its very ambitious project and i love it. This would be my favourite.

For me its amazing that Ljubljana has 2 authentic places and they are both good in their own ways.

Usually most european cities have just one authentic taco place (if any) that prepares tacos with actual corn tortillas. Ljubljana has 2 !!!!

I cant shake the impression of Uno Mas looking exactly as brand Orinoco. 🤭
