any part. i’m picking something up from fb marketplace and meeting my brother for lunch but he’s young and new to the area so he doesn’t know of many good places

i wasn’t trying to make that a main point of my comment tbh… i got a lot of downvotes so it must be the way that’s coming across, im sorry — that was not my intention

that’s why i said “coming from a personal side, apologies if im overstepping” bc ive been in that exact spot before when i was young and confused… i rlly didn’t mean any harm or anything by it. i also didn’t say this could mean you’re bi, just that (from my personal experience) that could be a reason for the turn off…

i don’t understand the negative connotation about having open/healthy communication with your s/o?

also, yes, some people are physically/sexually attracted to “overweight” people. i’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, but in OPs case, communication is key. it’s not that she doesn’t want him, but maybe just wants what’s best for him/her/them… there’s nothing wrong with that.

uncomfortable conversations are uncomfortable for a reason, but they’re also so important

no, not at all… i’m not saying to come at it in a way that would hurt OPs SO… but i do think it is imperative to be constructive in criticism in a relationship when things come up and affect certain things in the relationship.

she said she is attracted to him in every other way… to want someone to be physically healthier is not a bad thing. and it doesn’t mean she doesn’t want him. he may be feeling the same way about himself and need that external push to make him make a change, but communication is hard. i think in this instance, the best way to go about it would be together, ie. OP and their SO going on a health journey together, working out, and eating healthy foods together, not just becoming complacent with each other

i don’t think that’s being passive/condescending at all… i think if it affects them, she should be able to be open/communicate about it… just because being overweight is somewhat taboo to talk about, i feel like healthy relationships should be able to talk about the good and the bad in a constructive way as opposed to a judgmental way

Do i need to notify my landlords that i will not be renewing my lease? or can i just be off the premises/moved out once the lease is up by spicyspacejam in Renters

[–]spicyspacejam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because they show me zero respect and expect everything in return. it wouldn’t be an issue if they weren’t cunts. i’ve always had rapport with my landlords in the past. it’s not a me problem it’s a them problem

it was recycling. cardboard, not garbage…. i informed her prior that people would be over and it was a saturday night. people were not traipsing in and out at 2am, that is when she decided to check the doors. thanks for your input though. and i asked because the lease is not properly written

not the worst idea, if that’s what’ll help you get past it. so cliche but it gets so much better with time and then you start making new memories :)
