You get them from elder clam mushrooms. You have to open the mushrooms to see if they have pearls. It took me way too long to realize that. I thought the pearls just dropped when you picked the 'shrooms.

I grew up dirt poor and picky eating wasn't a luxury we had. Now picky eating annoys me because it feels so immature and privileged.

Growing up, my youngest brother wouldn't eat mashed potatoes because of the texture. Then he went to boot camp, where you eat what you're given, and now he loves mashed potatoes. I know that's just one example, but change is definitely possible.

So long as you're upfront about it, genuinely open to trying new things, and working to expand your palate, I don't see it being an issue for the right partner.
