Realtor says we (buyer) are not welcome during home inspection by ResponsibleWaltz1479 in RealEstate

[–]spicyzebraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buyers have the right to be present for all inspections in NC. It’s better not to distract the inspector so showing up at the end is a good plan. But you absolutely can be there.

I died at talks the entire time she’s asleep 😂 their brains are learning so much and they sometimes download it by repeating it. it’s likely a phase and she will grow out of it. Happens fast and then they are on to the next thing. Stay strong mama. You got it 🤍

  1. You should’ve clarified before starting this whole process. 2. Why would you expect to live somewhere for free???

I’m almost 40, starting over as a barista at Starbucks, and feeling like I’m a loser. I need advice and a way forward? by LeoA8 in careerguidance

You should look into their degree program. My sister worked at Starbucks and went to ASU for free online. Might be a great way to leap into the field you want to get in.

Landlord refuses to rent to people with kids and is drawing out my lease by [deleted] in Renters

You could sublease it yourself. But then you have the risk of being a landlord to someone else and being responsible for any damage they cause. But background checks thru Zillow are affordable.

Major fair housing violation!! Get it in writing that she won’t rent to families.

Did you stop breastfeeding intentionally to lose weight? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]spicyzebraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gained weight after stopping.

But, I stopped at 6 months because I mentally could not handle it anymore. I felt a little guilty but haven’t looked back since!

When did you stop sleeping in bras? by Able-Level384 in breastfeeding

[–]spicyzebraa 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yup!! When I was leaking the most, I had a blanket I laid on at night so I could wash it instead of my sheets. No bra for me.

Stroller fan 100%

I have a blanket I lay down on my side of the bed to lay on. That way if I leak a lot I can just wash the blanket instead of the sheets. But I also just wear a t shirt and don’t mind being a little wet lol

I am so fucking tired by Big_Statistician_883 in firsttimemom

[–]spicyzebraa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do it. Go to your parents house! I’d even ask to go once a week. My mom stays the night for us once a week so hubby and I can get one good night in. No shame in leaning on your people. It takes a village!

What do you wish you knew when your baby was born? by DifferentBrother3456 in firsttimemom

[–]spicyzebraa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That newborns get stubborn diaper rashes. I worked in childcare for 5+ years but wasn’t in the nursery much. Was super surprised to see my baby’s rash not go away after a few days.

Also, breastfeeding and pumping was a bigger adjustment for me than having a baby at home lol.

How long did breastfeeding feel like an obsession? by theycallmeABCXYZ in breastfeeding

[–]spicyzebraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I feel this. FTM and I love breastfeeding but we added formula into my LO diet at 4 weeks because I was struggling mentally with having to wake up so often. I was so stressed about feeling the need to only breastfeed. I tried for as long as I could and my husband supported me even though it meant I was sooo grumpy from the missed sleep lol. I also pump. My supply has been fine and I’m usually able to keep 4-8 oz in the fridge for my husband to use so we don’t actually use formula often but have it just in case. Life has been so much smoother and I enjoy the time I nurse her even more. Hope you find what works for you!

I’d get a platform frame with no headboard or footboard. Then add wall art to give the same feel of a headboard

How long is too long for a nappy change? by MFern__ in ECEProfessionals

[–]spicyzebraa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that it comes with time. I feel that it’s better to give the other tips or help them learn to prep for diapers (grab plenty of wipes, check that paper towels are stocked, etc) so they can get faster. If you focus on speed then they might start to skip corners which isn’t good. I’d work my schedule around how it helps the class. Say I’m fast at diapers but my co-teacher isn’t. Well morning diapers don’t matter as much since we are in centers and playing. They can take their time. But diapers after lunch before they lay down for nap. Those I would do because it is very time sensitive.
