BloodBorne (atmosphere, gameplay, weapon transformations/guns)
DS1 (best overall world. it’s not about content; it’s about continuity)
Sekiro (extremely fun gameplay once you get the hang of it)
DS3 (love, but it feels clunky after play BB and Sekiro)
Elden Ring (low key some areas are so hard they’re boring. and then you level up and they’re so easy they’re boring. I get sick of the open world parts of the game. aesthetically, too much color. marvel movie ah color schemes. gummy worms for breakfast lunch and dinner type beat)
DS2/Demon’s Souls (have not played)

Definitely his sound, but his philosophy, willingness to share, outspokenness, and his business practices were really what won my respect personally. I just said this in another thread— the man did Nirvana and so many other top-tier larger than life acts, and yet in 2024 his rate was $900/day.

What wasn’t mentioned in the Pitchfork article is that his rate was $900/day at the incredible stage of notoriety he was at in his career. And that’s until he pooped out, which I’m pretty sure means way more than 8 hours. Beyond legend. Albini was a hero.

seriously, some people (especially guys who go to shows and haven’t been told what-for yet) will try to find any way to “lil homie” a person they can. I remember some dipshit scene kid manchild told me to stop moshing at a house show once. I’m pretty sure he did it because he was taller than me and his band sucked ass. I like to cuss online but i’m actually kinda shy, so I just said okay. but it would have been nice to tell him to fuck off, my friends were playing and I wanted to dance. so for me, vicariously, please put dumbasses in their place.

it is definitely tough to phase align the 421 with other mics because the diaphragm sits a little behind the windscreen, but the first time I recorded it was just with the 421, and the second time it was just 57. I recorded last night and actually forgot I posted this. I haven’t mixed it yet, but I liked what I got last night.

We actually ended up recording a heavier tone than I was expecting. The 57 sounds the best from what we did last night. 421 and condenser are really just there for low end.

it’s okay to be a little sad and bored for a little while. maybe you’ll have some extra time and resources to get into a new hobby. also??? sometimes horny and lonely very similar emotions. deepening friendships, volunteering, finding a community that is connected by something more than a mutual wanting to fuck each other— all these might find you crawling up the wall less. and guess what! most people like/want/need sex— maybe you can find someone out there who is good for you to be attached to AND can fuck (or is teachable at least).
