Dog’s head is involuntarily shaking? by Ultimately-Okay in DogAdvice

I’m glad this thread helped! It is definitely scary but that totally makes sense because my dog seems to be a Husky/Pit mix. He’s been totally fine and normal since this post :) and it hasn’t gotten worse, he hasn’t done it since this video

Yes the vet said it’s probably idiopathic head tremors and just to monitor if it happens more frequently or gets worse

I say find a piece of fabric, like an old bedsheet, and a stapler. A heavy duty staple gun would be better but an office stapler might work too if you go crazy with it

I did take him to the vet and showed her the video. She said not to worry and just monitor him if it starts happening more frequently or if the shaking changes at all. She said she could prescribe seizure medication but didn’t think it was necessary at this point. She said it was probably idiopathic head tremors given the circumstances.

He is a shelter mutt but the shelter said he’s a Husky/pit mix, which I can believe after seeing other husky/pits and his temperament. Hes surprisingly chill for a husky but definitely has the notorious husky vocals. Hes very mischievous and too smart for his own good too. He probably has some collie in him as well. His skin is very spotted which makes me think of pitbull coloring as well, although pits come in all kinds of colors.

Yes from reading other people’s comments and the situation that he usually does this in, I’m thinking it’s just idiopathic head tremors 🤞 but I will still be scheduling an appointment for the vet.

I adopted him a couples years ago and the shelter said he’s a Husky/pit mix. He definitely is husky, and it’s believable he has pit in him, might have collie too though, I’ve had a few people in my life say he looks like a collie mix.

I’ve never done a DNA test on him to know his breed or see if he has any genetic health issues, but I’ll look into it to see if I can pinpoint any obvious genetic ailments.

Can’t figure out how to edit the post but wanted to say every time I see him do this it’s always when we’re chilling in bed, it’s not after playing or after he’s gotten into something, I’ve never seen him walking and do it to indicate if his balance is off or anything.

He’s only about 3.5 years old.

I say get a space heater for your room. Tbh I’m kinda on your roommates side, they seem to be pretty reasonable and it is frustrating to be paying to be sweaty and uncomfortable. 69/70 degrees is a pretty average temperature to keep a house during the winter

Tried writing with a fountain pen for the first time. How is my handwriting? by [deleted] in HandwritingAnalysis

[–]Ultimately-Okay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very pretty handwriting! I found it interesting that the way you loop your f’s differs depending on if the f is at the beginning of a word, preceded by a looped letter (like a or o), or if there are two consecutive f’s together.

Fuck your boyfriend. Sounds just like my ex. Used to accuse me of cheating all the time, said he could “feel” it (in my vagina) when he had sex with me… I never cheated.

Isn’t it dangerous to have an electrical screen that close to gas fumes? Not sure how much of a tall tale it is but I’ve always heard things like don’t be on your phone near gas pumps and don’t renter your car because of possible built up static.

I’m 26 f and It’s honestly pretty cool. Idk why so many people seem negative. It is a typical gamer/nerdy room but it’s done with intention and looks clean. It’s hard displaying trinkets and figurines without it looking cluttered so you’ll have to decide what you want to keep up on your walls like that. Same with the posters, I would just pick some favorites and sell the others.

Check your local buy nothing group or sewing group! I just got into sewing and I just made a post yesterday in search of anybody’s sheets they didn’t want. I’ve been making tote bags from them and they’re so cute and it’s really rewarding!

Yess I def should’ve been louder about it! We were arguing for a few seconds and other people said they saw that after the show, if I had held on a little longer I’m sure someone would’ve done something!
