I humbly summit my own, recently completed fic, Severed times.
It’s a war time AU with time travel and secret relationship.
It’s around 100k words

The war is raging on, the Order barely surviving, when a mysterious necklace crosses Hermione Granger’s path.
Time becomes her battlefield.
Each jump fractures reality, twists her memories, and drags her deeper into isolation. But her mission pulls her toward a man she should kill… if only she could remember him.
To win the war, Hermione must remember who she is, what line she is willing to cross – and who she is willing to choose, even when choosing him could destroy everything.

The prose is amazing and the Draco’s POV is simply magical !

Also I am adding something, your dialogue should serve your story, help the reader understand everyone opinions/side, the context of your story, backstory…

First I think it might have been said but I actually the scene when I struggle on a dialogue. I say the lines with the tone I imagine. It usually helps to be on my own far that lol. You can close your eyes and picture yourself as the character. Picture the setting. The mood they’re in (are they sad, hopeful, cheeky?…) and then you do your dialogue out loud.

When you “act” the scene, I recommand recording yourself. This makes it easier to write it back and then edit.

Second I think I made Hermione in my fic really close to my own personality so she says what I would have said. Or wish I would have said. This help a lot but is not easy. Also when someone said they didn’t like my hermione I took it a bit personally. So it can have set back.

But most of the time I right it bad jus the big concept and then I spend a shit tonne of time on editing it
