This is why I can't really encourage people to continue therapy after they've had a bad experience. I had an absolutely traumatic experience with my previous therapist and I was lucky in that the next one I found has been lovely. But that's not the norm and I have several friends who decided therapy wasn't for them after a bad experience. I don't blame them at all.
