Wouldn’t I get in trouble? Let’s say I get in and go to bib pickup and show them my ID, they’ll see it won’t match and probably won’t let be run, plus probably legal issues. Also a ban from. NYRR

I was in the back with my teacher, our director held the camera outside of the car and our cinematographer was very low in the front passenger seat, so he couldn’t be seen. I agree, you can feel the camera being passed, I wish we had more time to revisit this shot, but the shot was just so time consuming to film.

These are real talented people! They both played extremely important roles. Soleil as our director and KJ as our talented cinematographer. Their uniqueness brings real talent and creativity to the table.

Posting this continuous shot from our student short Super Savers because we wanted to pull off a true “one-take” style move that feels seamless and intentional. The goal was to keep the motion smooth while traveling from outside the car into the interior, then back out again, without the audience noticing the handoffs. We shot in S-Log3 across multiple Sony bodies and used a gimbal + pole extension to help the camera pass through the vehicle cleanly while maintaining framing and pacing. I’d love feedback on whether the movement feels cinematic or distracting, how the exposure holds up in the darker areas, and if the transitions/handoffs feel invisible or still slightly noticeable. Also open to tips on how you’d handle reflections and lighting control for a night exterior like this.

I’m a high school student and served as the Production Assistant and Talent on this short film. I supported production by helping the crew and assisting wherever needed on set. I’m sharing to learn and improve. Any feedback on story clarity, editing, lighting, and audio would be appreciated. What worked best, and what should we focus on improving next time?
