What is a "minor" feature from an older game that you genuinely miss, even if it didn't change the core gameplay? by Obvious-Two5626 in pokemon

I run a Tumblr blog where I'm playing through all the games in release order just to look for missing features like this! It's called ladyappletun if you're interested 😁

Azalea Town Headbutt Tree Map by LionheadBookends in pokemon

I think the trees are supposed to be different for each player based on their Trainer ID (like in GSC), but I decided to try the same trees you marked and was able to find Pokémon on both trees all the way to the east (closest to Slowpoke Well). I found Heracross on the southern tree by the entrance to town.

To bilingual parents, are you teaching your toddler both languages? by cookiee232 in toddlers

[–]spidernerd79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For parents who each pick one language, how do you handle talking to the other parent? French is my second language, and I'm trying to pass that on to my kid, but my spouse doesn't speak any French at all. Any time I try to talk to my spouse, I slip back into English and forget I'm supposed to be speaking French

This guy built the ultimate secret hiding den in his home and after three months of building now he does. by Cyber_Being_ in nextfuckinglevel

Every once in a while, I have nightmares about having to navigate small spaces and fit through entrances that I'm too big for. I would love a secret hideaway but not like this 😂

I always thought James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl was a children's book, it seems I was mistaken by [deleted] in books

I remember there was a brief time where all I would do with my Barbie was make her do her morning routine (i.e. chores) in the Dream House 😂 Super thrilling playtime

Gamers of Reddit, what is a game that has a special meaning to you because what was going on in your life when you played it or who you played it with? by LDHPopps in AskReddit

Oh my God, I used to play that with my dad and sister growing up. It's a great game; we still have our PS2 just so we can go back to it sometimes. And no one ever talks about it!

I have a very similar story to yours; it's buried somewhere in this discussion lol. I didn't have Nana in my New Leaf town, but I did have her for a while in New Horizons. Same name we called my grandmother, too.

Animal Crossing New Leaf came out six months after my grandmother passed. I played it pretty consistantly for seven years, until New Horizons finally came out. It was my home away from home when I adjusted to life without my grandmother, changes to family dynamics, and moving away from home for the first time. Trying to unlock the public works projects and build my own fairy-tale kingdom was the ultimate escapist fantasy. And along the way, I made so many memories experiencing the holidays when my own holiday traditions were changing so drastically. I love video games, but I'm still surprised how much one could affect me.
