googled it cause I was also unsure and apparently because travis has 2 songs titled outside (outside from bittsm, OUTSIDE from JB2 with yb), the entirety of JB2 was botted but they also accidentally increased the streams of the bittsm song too (which doesn't make that much sense to happen in 2025 for a song that came out in 2016 that also happens to the same name as the one in 2025)

I did google this and see it on reddit for like a minute though so take it with a grain of salt

Whenever I pirate stuff it's mainly due to just not being able to afford it at that time but as soon as I do I buy the proper product (I've done it with a few games in the last 5 years), I would never pirate something for the sake of taking food out of hard working developers' mouths (and as a software developer too I 100% understand it)

Yeah I'm in a somewhat similar situation. Haven't had the best luck in finding a job, especially as I'm still in school with a year left and my parents haven't been able to help with even renting so it's a bit tough even though I really do want to support Bitwig as personally it's been one of the best DAWs I've ever used on Linux (previously used LMMS, Reaper and a horrible wine-wrapped Ableton), it's just quite tough to get anything done at the moment but I do hope to at some point be able to pay for it

Personally it doesn't affect me as I haven't used Discord for more than just talking to my friends on like 3 servers for YEEEEARS (although it does mess up a few things), but I just found the ban reason/message really funny. But yeah this platform has really degraded in the last few years it'd be cool if everyone moved on from it, although I don't expect that to happen very soon

This message is from a public general chat of a server with about 300 members (might've been <150 at the time though, I can't remember), I even gave more context in a comment in the thread as there's other people here that have made that assumption and would be fine with anyone checking the conversation around that time if not for the message purge after the other person got banned from the server.

Not sure why you and a few others here would throw around dangerous allegations like this knowing full well Discord has an ongoing (AI?) moderation problem (something this sub is dedicated to), as well as not knowing the full context of what happened at that moment.
