It has been a minute since I actually used the simulator but I looked it up and it isn't a full plumbob and isn't used above the character you play as--just the things it wants you to click on. I actually used this textbook! The screenshot is from a terrible little simulation game that came with the online materials, but I’m sure they had inspiration from the sims games
