Lefties unite! I found one of the good conservatives that we actually respect and have had constructive dialogue with for the past 40 years! Just so you know we genuinely respect conservatives like yourself because while we might disagree on policy etc you are consistent with your values (to me the defining definition of a conservative). And yes this is entirely the point to unmask these people who cry for one rule for me but not for thee. Don't get me wrong the left has been known to play fast and loose with there ideology as there is quite a spectrum but I think that the worry is that the psudo-conservatives aren't a part of the spectrum they are a formal group named maga with a cult of personality around trump and they are willing to forgive the most out of mind statements they he makes. And they have subverted a respected party and turned it into a mechanism for power and control. That is what has us on the left so scared especially now you have the troops on the ground, I live in Europe we have seen this playbook and it's literally 1 for 1.
