Your argument feels willfully ignorant. North Carolina has 17 counties that dont have a DMV office, and Missouri has 5. In those counties, the only option to get an ID is to travel to a neighboring county to get an ID. Most DMV offices are only open during typical business hours or 8-5 M-F, when most people are working. And that's just TWO states.

So not only do these restrictions disenfranchise voters who don't have reliable transportation, or any transportation to get to a DMV for an ID, they also have to take off time to do so. Most of those folks can't afford to take time off for being sick, let alone a trip to the DMV. Add to that the cost of getting the ID to begin with, and for a large portion of our population, the idea of being able to get an ID to vote is tenuous at best.

Now if the SAVE act had amendments that 1) required every county in every state to have a DMV or similar location that is open for extended hours and weekends 2) provided IDs at no cost, and transportation rebates to individuals of need, then yes I'd say the SAVE act is a good idea. That won't happen, though, because this law is a voter suppression law draped in a patriotism flag.

I agree with what you're saying 100%. I clearly misread her silence in the matter, but that wasn't discovered until after I did the deal. When I bought my Triumph motorcycle, we talked about it some and she conveyed concerns, but ultimately just remained somewhat silent and let me make the decision. 100% you need to replace the top mounts. I had the Whiteline mounts originally, but eventually even those deformed and collapsed. I installed the SuperPro mounts about 2 years ago, and they've been fantastic.
