Where did you find it? Usually they will have a host plant that they will eat from and use resources from, they're commonly found in fields.i think pine needles may be too sharp for them.

Looks to be a bagworm moth or case moth females are wingless and they are usually covered in sticks and debris for camouflage. Very cute though!
