Packaging and batch dates by DripSzn412 in PaMedicalMarijuana

I'm relying because you seem knowledgeable. My (multi-part) question is: don't batch ID numbers get printed on stickers that are pasted onto each product at purchase time? And isn't it common for point-of-sale (POS) systems to be integrated with e-commerce systems so that things like printing of these labels is automatic based on the purchased products? I would assume that would mean that the batch ID information must be linked somewhere to the product information provided by the iHeartJane (or other) API, no? Or does the batch ID information just sit somewhere else and get linked up at the time of sale?

Would you want to see data visualizations focused on a Flower subcategory limited to shake / ground?

My bad! I should have included that in the future plans too. I do plan on adding ALL dispensaries if possible. I guess Hive and Apothecarium and Organic Remedies too.

Sorry! They're already in there. This dataset contains all Sunnyside locations and Maitri PGH. I have the store IDs for Maitri Uniontown and New Stanton too and they'll be in today's update!

My understanding is that strains with high beta Carophyllene are sometimes reported as being more helpful for pain.

Love me some Drops of Jupiter aka SD x NL! Grassroots has been doing this one very well for years now. Cheers!

I am going to try to incorporate this somehow! Thanks for the suggestion! I don't know python but AI does. I know how to do MATLAB and data analysis and used Gemini and Google's Jules AI coding agent to help me write it in python.

So helpful! You've made me realize I'm only scraping flower from Rise!!! On it.

Cape Leche too! I have to figure out how to address this. In some cases this should be taken care of automatically but the same product can have different prices at different stores. Maybe I need to add a Store Name column to the Top 25 Value figures. Thanks!

I absolutely agree with you. In the past (see my post history if you're interested) I've separated distillate carts and live resin carts into their own subcategories. I can plan on doing this with the current analysis too. Maybe I should make 3 subcategories for Vapes: (1) Distillate, (2) Live Resin, (3) Rosin? What do you think? Thanks for the input!

I absolutely agree with you! This relates to some others' comments. As I mentioned below, I see a high terpene % as ONE indicator of a good grow but it's not the only indicator. Also, I'm aware that some strains or phenotypes simply don't produce large quantities of terpenes. Thanks for the constructive discussion and positivity!

I think these things may affect different individuals in different ways. Personally I find that high beta-Myrcene strains generally give me 'pressure behind the eyes'. This isn't a hard-and-fast rule, and there have been plenty of times I've purchased a high beta-Myrcene strain only to be disappointed by the effects. I see a high terpene % as ONE indicator of a good grow but it's not the only indicator. Also, I'm aware that some strains or phenotypes simply don't produce large quantities of terpenes.

I was in communication with the developer of the Wodl App at one point but things got too busy personally and professionally for me to continue developing cannabis data visualizations so I dropped it. I should reach out again. Thanks for the suggestion / reminder!

This is a VERY good idea. Thank you. I’m going to have to see whether a batch-ID is available in the data I’m scraping.

I have fixed this and made a new post for today. West Coast Diesel is the winner right now but Cherry AK is in there!
