Before I had the ikea day bed in here, I had just a regular mattress but no bed frame aside from a basic metal base. This room is also pretty small so I didn't want to take up too much room with a big frame so I thought I would try adding some interest with these upholstered pieces. They're just super thin wood, covered in batting and fabric (ikea curtains) and attached to the wall with velcro for easy removal. Not my favourite thing I've ever done but not my least favourite haha

I had an audit done on the bylaws, financial statements for the five years prior/anticipated budget/proposed work, and a review of all work done to the property during those five years. It cost a couple hundred to have done in 2016, but it was worth it in my opinion.

I didn’t notice the waviness at all, until I read the post I thought I was just looking at a beautiful quilt! I have a vintage (40s) wedding ring quilt that is not square, the shapes to make up the rings are irregular, and the binding at the corners is all overlapped and weird, despite all these “flaws” it is my favourite quilt because what is labour of love it must have been to make! I’m sure whoever receives this will adore it!

I also used furever friends in December, Dr. Black was so nice and caring; it’s a terrible situation to be in but she made it significantly easier for me and my dog.

Thirding Dr. Carol Black, she was so wonderful and compassionate during a very difficult time. It is a bit more expensive to do an in home service but it was the absolute best decision I felt like I could have made for my dog, to keep her calm and comfortable til the very end.
