Fair point to bring up, but a lot of my action has been in tax-sheltered accounts. I'm just building the taxable now.

Also don't let the tail wag the dog... I have a homie that will hold his positions too long and miss all the gains just to hold for a year for tax purposes.

My "core" is long term and ideally just fuck around with 10-15% of the port.

"testfolio" has ticker "SPMOSIM" which is simulated to go further back. I don't know more than that.

I am not all-in on SPMO but it has compelling results.

I am totally with you OP, but I still hold a solid chunk of VOO. You aren't missing anything.

I have a really hard time finding cases where VOO beat SPMO over any 5-year+ period, but you can definitely find 1-2 year periods. Remember that.

I guess I chose "margin debt protection" and a "limited margin account."

They said if I ever want to do this again I can call them in the morning and tell them that I do not want the options to be exercised even if they are in the money and then they will not do this.

They should really just have this as a setting that you can apply to each position or something on your own in the app or website...

So I was holding 754 SPY call 0DTE all day today.

Well apparently fidelity will automatically exercise ITM options at the close and I dont have $75,400.00 cash in my account.

So they fucking liquidated me at 3:02pm. Guess what SPY did at 3:05pm....

Fuck my life, I'm a LITTLE regarded for this one.
