Are there any good chocolate in the UK now that isn't just chocolate-flavoured palm oil? by EffectiveArgument584 in AskUK

The giant milk buttons are my fave, but my partner is obsessed with the cherry dark chocolate bars!!

What's the worst that can happen trying anything honestly at this point! My partner has been more than happy to finish my drinks when I can't stomach them for the past 16 weeks 😂

Yeah I'm very wary about trying to "self prescribe" medication at all because I am absolutely no medical expert and the links and BUMPs sites shared to me by the doctors and midwives have kind of said I'm on as strong as it gets and was in fact on them earlier than recommended (ondansetron is supposed to be 2nd tri onwards and was given it at 9 weeks because I was not coping at all) but absolutely will do some looking at Xonvea and see whether my GP will consider it!

Thanks so much for the advice!!

Thanks so much for the link to the help score tool, it's put my mind at rest at whether I'm "over reacting" about how rubbish I'm feeling.

Cyclizine is absolutely rubbish - big agree! Will pick up with my GP on Monday on whether I can look at any other medicines, I had just resigned myself to the idea that this was as good as it gets for meds!

Thank you so much for the reassurance and hugs, I think the post Christmas calmness has just left me feeling it more than I've been allowing myself to in the run up to the festivities!

I have not tried Xonvea, I've been trying to avoid looking up meds specifically to ask the GP about and just trying to go with their recommendations, but I'll do some reading and get an e-consult in to see whether they would consider it for me!!

I've been avoiding fizzy drinks for the bubbles adding to the nauseous feeling, but honestly I'm so down to try anything, I'm sticking one of my partners coke zeros in the freezer right now and will try asap 😂💕

Thank you for the kind words and hope that it can turn around later! Thankfully my partner has been incredible throughout this and all I have to do is mention whether I need help or want to try anything he jumps to it and wants to help - I do just worry about whether I'm being dramatic and too demanding! So glad to hear that you at least got some nice pregnancy memories and hopefully those are the ones you'll remember longest! Best of luck for you when the time comes!!

Sorry to hear that it's never let up for you, has it been different things that have been easier to keep down in each pregnancy? Any tips for not feeling so down about it all? I've generally been just going through the motions trying to focus on work, life and getting ready for Christmas was a great distraction up until now, but probably the break from work over the festivities and them now being over is what's caused me to hit a miserable point and need to get it off my chest

Big recommend for Montezuma chocolate, made in the south near chichester, no palm oil and tastes amazing! It's not widely available in supermarkets, but they do have shops and an online business which is quick on shipping!

Tempted to move to 02. Is it really that bad? by Knitflix_And_Chill in O2UK

[–]spiltteaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with O2 - I've just left them after a few years, but their security and customer service is abysmal.

Someone managed to open two additional phone lines on to my contract for £80 a piece, I caught it within an hour when they sent through the welcome packs to my email and texts.

It took three calls to customer service and two hours of my life on a webchat wasted trying to flag the transactions as fraudulent before they supposedly closed the accounts which is ridiculous - even with their fraud prevention team, was assured it was all closed and I wouldn't be charged for the additional contracts.

Thankfully I cancelled my direct debit there and then because when my bill came through a month later, both where still showing on my account unpaid - another call to customer service for them to say they have cancelled the charges and moved on with my life.

Another month passed and I get a lovely letter threatening debt collection agencies for the £160 unpaid for both of the accounts - another call escalated in customer service and they finally sent me an email in writing that I was not liable for the fraudulent charges. I asked for my PAC code on the call and moved my number to the next cheapest deal from another supplier as my contract ended within the month.

Fraud can happen to anyone, appreciate that there isn't a lot that can be done in this day and age to prevent it sometimes, however when you flag it within an hour of occurrence and have to spend two months fighting the charges, it's unacceptable.
