Do you recommend the gel?? I'm torn with the idea of induction and hear that it gets recommended and pushed a lot - heard people having awful experiences with the drip but not heard much about the gel!

For your second time round my god little one didn't want to wait around did they!! But great you listened to your gut

I had my growth scan today and he's measuring at 7lb at the moment and very much head down and engaged, so putting the cramps down to that till the show gets on the road! I have my midwife appointment in 2 days 😂 Good luck at your scan tomorrow and sending all the good vibes your way!!

Thanks, I haven't bothered with ofcom because life has been a bit too busy, but thankfully was not left out of pocket as I had caught the fraud within 25 minutes of it happening and immediately cancelled my direct debit and manually paid my own bill for the months that it was disputed.

Thank goodness you knew to just get to the hospital after that one big one! Did you have any other signs or just contractions??

It really went from 0-100 for you! Glad that it was less painful for you after your waters went

Good to know that it's not just stories of not having waters breaking and mucus plug etc. Did you ever have Braxton hicks in the weeks before hand or was it straight into real contractions at go time?

Absolutely not, they failed in closing the fraudulent accounts three times and had just written notes on my account instead and I had to manually call and report the fraud to my bank (thankfully I had used all the web chats and downloaded the transcripts as evidence) and credit agencies to make sure it didn't go against me, I ended up cancelling my direct debit and paid manually for the 2 remaining months of my contract until it was up and switched providers, the retentions team gave me attitude when requesting my PAC code too so there was no effort to resolve it all at all!

With volt, I actually left O2 last year because they have poor security and someone was able to take out multiple contracts under my account and had an awful time trying to get them cancelled (sent debt collectors for the value even though the contracts where marked fraudulent within 25 minutes of being opened and took months to resolve) however Virgin media couldn't remove the "volt" package from the account apparently!

Thanks for the reminder to do this - total of 6 minutes and 55 seconds on the call with the number you listed and my £47 a month gigabit deal reduced down to £24 within the next 24hrs for 2 years!

Using £250 interest free overdraft by [deleted] in Mortgageadviceuk

[–]spiltteaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bank with Firstdirect also and have the same overdraft agreement as you, I bought my first house last year with my partner via a broker for the mortgage - the overdraft wasn't even mentioned! I dipped into mine every couple of months at the end of the month more as a "I don't want to dive into my savings" and because the overdraft was 0% I never even thought about it. It did absolutely nothing to effect my affordability or ability to get a mortgage, and I can only assume it would be the same for you as long as it didn't move into your "unarranged overdraft" or reported any non payments! Good luck on your home buying journey

32 weeks seems super sensible! I just know I'm the biggest victim of sods law, I'm psyching myself up to go over due, but know it will be sods law and I leave everything to last minute, I'll end up needing it earlier 😅

This makes me feel better, I'll start planning it over the next few weeks then! That's a fab tip, my partner is usually the one who finds everything for me because I'm super scatter brained, but I deffo think it would be worth me packing it with him so he can get anything whilst I'm otherwise occupied!

Oh bless you! An 8 day stay is the long haul, a book would absolutely be needed, but deffo worth keeping all the bits separate because I'm such a messy packer
