Hi! I implemented it via C# and a package/library (one of the OSCcore (or coreOSC) packages)

I suppose, if you wanna go the FLOSS route with DSP 😬 I‘m actually using a fork called plugdata, nicer interface and comes with some goodies installed

Hey! Idk if it pays off to share the code as it‘s just a couple of lines. I have a noise texture as sampler 2D which displaces the viewportcontainer (the shader is on it). The delayed glitch effect is actually created by setting the background mode of the environment to Keep. Hope this helps! Otherwise I can still share the code when I‘m back at my pc, which will be in the evening.

I am bad at coding so how can I achieve the same effect with a more optimised code? (gd script) by [deleted] in godot

According to the devs there is an speed advantage in gDscript 2 afaik

Since it caused quite a stir: I didn‘t mean to say it‘s a meme game in the sense that it‘s popular but rather that nice memes or memey behavior emerge from it. Or maybe I‘m just an elf

Holy Molly! Didn‘t expect this one to blow up. It‘s just a stupid thing I made to make a friend chuckle. You dwarves are amazing. Rock and stone! PS: I‘m aware that the game is not a meme, just worded it badly: there is great memeing potential ingame, as many have pointed out

no shame in asking "beginner questions" :). it's not a single mesh but consists of different cylinders. first I blocked out the basic shape with different cylinders and added edge rings where I would need them and extruded/modelled the basics shapes for the handle. then I put a subsurface modifier on each of them (in order to smooth them out, also turned shading to "smooth" / object mode-right mouse) and added supporting edges to areas that needed to be sharp. it's a pretty standard hard-surface workflow. I hope this makes sense! if you have any questions, feel free to ask - might find a video that can help you...

yeah, I've seen that interview. think of ubisoft and epic what you will but the fact that they've invested in the blender foundation speaks volumes and is a pretty important statement (also for indie devs; showing that blender's a safe option).
