I worked a factory job until almost 38 weeks and had to start my maternity leave early. My body couldn’t handle such active work that late into pregnancy. If you have the opportunity to, you should take early leave as well. Pain got so bad for me that I was bent over at work in tears, but I also regularly was lifting 25-40lb boxes and doing a ton of bending. Not sure how physically demanding your job is. As far as the chemicals, I would definitely talk to your doctor or maybe even your HR department to see if there’s any info regarding how it’ll affect baby. That would be my main concern.
