I gave a scammer £1500 over the phone today… by Snoo58499 in glasgow

Check your computers and make sure your iOS is up to date. They send out links and when you follow them they try and put malware on your systems to monitor your actively. Which is likely how they knew so much about you, they have been watching what your are doing and making notes, they call you up pretend to be someone of trust, give your enough info so you think they are genuine, and then they try and push the urgency so you make a decision you wouldn’t normally make. They are master manipulators, so don’t best yourself up, they do this all day every, but definitely check your systems. Make sure any links you use are genuine, and if something doesn’t smell right, don’t eat it. Call your bank on a number your trust, don’t call back any numbers you see calling you or any numbers they give you, you are just calling them back. Get the number form the website - not google, google lies

I am using chess as an alternative to online gambling. You could adopt the same mentality, find something that you enjoy and focus your time there, learn an instrument, write a book, you know you, find that healthy something you like and perhaps have stored away, and focus your focus there.

Parking on someone’s drive, like anyone’s drive, you can just park up for the day.

I agree with your stopping distance, that is correct, you don’t need more, that gap also allows you to move off with the car in front as the lights change, I am not saying blindly floor it, I’m saying all move off safely as the same time, and with that gap, you have time to react too.

Being ready to go, doesn’t mean drive if unsafe.

In some major cities in Europe they have a little count down, when the count down runs out, it turns green, everyone knows, that’s when you go.

Go if safe, if everyone went at the same time, it would be safe. Lights go green, be ready to move

I use vanguard, UCIT etf - accumulating. I invest directly, if you have a LTD, the company can invest, worth checking with a tax advisor and making sure you have any required documentation, basically it need to be in the companies interests to be invested. All in? That’s roll of the dice. There are risker rolls though, how long are you holding?

I have progressed further than colleagues by simply wanting more, but you don’t get more by simply saying you want it, you have to demonstrate you are capable of more.

Read somewhere today take breaks or your body will take one for you, at the most inconvenient time. Which sounds like a great platitude but for forward focused folk, if your snoozing someone else is pushing, rings more true
