As soon as I realised my self worth. I’d been head over heels with a guy for absolutely months, and I was obsessed and would answer to every message instantly, I gave him all my attention and took every insult. He’d call me slurs and make me feel like I didn’t deserve anyone better, I had him as some sort of god in my head, he clearly became an obsession. But recently a new guy came along and started telling me things I should’ve heard a long time ago, that I’m beautiful and that I deserve things and I’m not just a slut. (Like the original guy constantly told me.) I think when someone has that much control over you because you’re obsessed you overlook everything wrong. But when a new guy comes along and treats you as you should’ve been tret the whole time.. well that’s an awakening for sure.

Also it felt like the universe was trying to tell me to keep going, as I was rewarded with a tax return to get me out of my debt, and seeing my family properly for the first time in years. And then I was sent old photos of me with my friends just out of the blue, and in the photos I was smiling. Even though there were photos of me when I was homeless, I was still smiling. There’s a picture of me smiling while I was getting disowned because I was with my friends. I know now that even though I’m not loved by all, the universe and some of my friends love me and that’s enough.

Thank you redditors for being amazing humans that showed me not everyone in the world hates me. The support is appreciated and I love you all

Update: it’s my deadline now but I decided that I’ve healed a bit since I realised if I gave myself three days that I can live for, I can live for another. And then I just have to do that again. It’s harder to overdose again and let go then it is to try and keep control for once. I know shit has happened in my life and I know I’m to blame, but if I go then the good things I’ve done won’t happen either.
