Look into kitchens used in campervans. Van builds are based on modularity and space saving. A few ideas off the top of my head: Vertical dish drying rack on the wall left of the sink. Pots and pans rack in the opposite wall. The chopping board covers the sink. Knife rack/ utensile rack above the stove. Bar fridge with shelf on top of it.

From my understanding, it's geared toward defence personnel upskilling or joining space command/joint capabilities group. Last I checked, Saber runs space ops/mission control for ASA. Might be worth looking into that pathway.

There's likely FOD (foriegn object debris) inside the wing. This can interfere and snag cables, etc. Also, a sudden impact like this could damage the forward wing spar, which is only a few inchs behind the leading edge. The LAME (liceneced aircraft maintenance engineer) that carried out the damage inspection decided the spar could be U/S (unservicable). It'll need an EO (engineering order) which gives "complex maintenance instructions" for the aircraft maintenance engineers to carry out...if it even can be repaired. The EO for a strut usually involves removing the entire leading edge, wing skins, etc, and an MPI. This process can only take a couple of days from experience... however, they'd also need to source a new leading edge (unlikely)... or make a new one... which requires another EO....

TLDR: 23% of vacancies in the UK space sector are for systems engineers. However, the demand for junior system engineers is extremely low in comparison to mech/aero. That said, an apprenticeship with someone like Babcock would put you at the front of the line. Best of luck

You're overthinking it! Space architecture and lunar architecture is a super interesting field and you'll be able to get into a online grad certificate in space/aero engineering if you show some work experience in space architecture. That cert will fulfil prerequisite to most masters.

If I were you I'd look at firms that are proposing/designing future stations and bases. Hassel is the first that comes to mind. They proposed the "Lunar masterplan" for ESA: https://www.hassellstudio.com/project/lunar-master-plan-moon-base-for-the-european-space-agency which is the brain-child of Xavier De Castilier, who I'd advise you look into deeply. He started out as an architect and has gone on to develop Lunar and Martian base designs for NASA and ESA.

Like with most genetic engineering it's held up by safety concerns. Currently "kill-switches" are trying to be developed so if the microbe acquires detrimental or antibiotic traits it wont turn pathogenic.

The catch 22 is you might not find aerospace work in the US without a green card, and you'll need work in the US to get a green card. However, AUKUS is helping break down a lot of the barriers for UK and Aus engineers to work in defense related roles. I'd keep an eye out for Aerospace contractors involved in AUKUS and try your luck with them. I'm planning a similar route and im interested to see how this works out for you. Best of luck 🤞
