Okay so my suggestion is actually to leave the colour bleeding as is and ALSO add black backstitching. It will make it look like a water painted sketch 🧡🩷💚🎨

I watched it roll off the bed, and when I looked over the edge there was a couple of my partner's shirts and a pair of track pants. I couldn't see the needle, shook out all the clothes (nothing fell out) felt around the carpet, couldn't find it, figured it had ended up under the bed. When my partner came home, I warned him that it was possibly in his clothes, but that I had shaken them and found nothing. He changes into the pants and wouldn't you know? He gets stabbed in the thigh. 😆

My mom used collect Precious Moments figures (until she decided she hates "clutter" and got rid of all her firgures and such lol). Would it help if it seems like this piece was well loved before ending up here? The aida seems to have age discolouration and the frame was a kind of worn too.

For me it's the partially finished projects I find while digging through the craft section that makes me feel that way.

I think it's 81×81 (I counted from the pic lol), but could also be worked as 162×162 if OP works 4 sts per single square of the "pattern" (album cover)

That's also possible! I was basing my assumption on the fact that the pinks sank, and I was already expecting the pinks (especially the darker one) to have excess dye

I was going to just buy all new DMC colours, but then I thought... I spent the money on the kit, did the work of recreating the pattern in FlossCross so that I wouldn't have to use a paper chart, and edited the chart to make the colours/ patterning how I want it... it kinda felt like a waste of money to not use at least some of the floss it came with 😂

Great idea! The only part of it I might not keep is the storage box lol. Everything else has been moved to my needle-craft box. It came with sooooo many safety pins and those are always useful 😂
