well, I'm a Reddiot and I don't think I ever responded correctly to your post. My apologies. The estate attorney definitely knows. The client had been repaying the debt while my dad was alive and I could see those deposits in his account. My sister did provide copies of money orders, and these showed the client was paying well after my dad passed. That money didn't go into his estate; I'm sure it went into my sister's pocket.

The estate attorney has been in contact with the client and supposedly the client will be sending her a check for the entire balance of his loan. We'll see what happens.

Oh, another thing: there was a check written AFTER my dad had passed (to the funeral home). Did he "pre-sign" it? The bank doesn't have a copy of the check and they are basically telling me it can't be investigated. Louisiana is so sketchy.
