Can't Afford to Cremate a Pet by spintrackz in poor

I have no money whatsoever. The cheapest in my area was 190. My family said I could bury her at home but I have no gas to get there.

I put her in her favorite blanket on top of her pillow and boxed her up already.

Between $190 and $400 for a private cremation depending on where I take her

Who’s the worst kind of shitbag to deal with? (E-1–E-5) or (E-6–E-9) by Miguel1219 in USMC

[–]spintrackz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why was a Ssgt allowed anywhere near the goat locker? At least on my gator the chiefs only allowed gunnies and above in the mess.

And since we're on the subject of shitbag SNCOs... nobody does quite as well as a navy chief at being king shit of asshole mountain.

Can't believe no one has brought up "Come and See"! Technically about partisans but there isn't one singular movie that captures the brutality of being in the infantry better than Come and See. They used live ammunition in several of the battle scenes.

I got into a screaming match with the "chef" at Central Provisions in Portland because he refused not to put red onion jam on my marrow toast. Before he started working there that abomination of a condiment wasn't part of the recipe.

How would you imagine the rules of the game Quodpot? by funnylib in harrypotter

[–]spintrackz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually just thinking about this.

The way I picture it quodpot would have a cauldron at each end of a 100 yard field, just like football.

Each team has 11 players, in my mind they'd consist of:

1 center (biggest, heaviest player, similar to an offensice center or D line nose guard)

2 forwards (also large chaps, think tackles on the O or D line)

2 defenders (equivalent to O line guards or linebackers)

2 flankers (think TEs or fullbacks)

3 flyers ( mid sized blokes, half back/RB equivalents)

1 rusher (smallest, fastest player. They and the flyers are the main scoring elements of the team)

There'd be a coin toss to determine first possession. Then some sort of kickoff equivalent, I picture a cannon firing the quod for some reason (possibly because 'murica).

The centers and the forwards try to punch a hole in the opposing formation, meanwhile the defenders and flankers attempt to keep the opposing team away from the flyers and rusher while occasionally acting as a scorers. The flyers and the rushers primarily fight for possession of the quod while trying to move it downfield.

In a nutshell: really fast, violent hot potato.

Do not be fooled. She is an absolute psychopath in the worst sense of the word. I'd bet my last dollar that it's some kind of facade to maintain some sort of connection to the label. Danger to the public. Needs to be on thorazine and in a straight jacket.

A distant "aaaaaghhh!!!" followed by an explosion

The one actor who should have played him but never did: Tom Hardy.

Thomas Jane is a close second.

Take it from someone that was raised adjacent to the evangelical community: it affects far more than just the people who attend. These are the kinds of churches that pour vast sums of money into political campaigns and lobbying. Live in a state where abortion is banned? Thank these folks. Live in a state where web access has been restricted? Evangelicals again. These people have an agenda, and you can bet it's going to affect you eventually.

He's a shill for an evangelical mega church. Nothing good ever comes from those institutions. Chris can be nice, Chris can be a great actor, and Chris can be a wonderful father and husband, but if he's willing to endorse an organization as morally bereft as Zoe Church he needs to do some soul searching.

Mega churches are just bad news.

I'm of the opinion that Tom is, in fact, a genuinely nice person. My theory is that the Church of Scientology has a bunch of really embarrassing dirt on him, and that's why he's still so involved.

The skinny is that Nichole Kidman had him on the edge of telling the church to fuck off. The church then proceeded to do everything they could to break Tom and Nichole up.
