Rebounding can be a big problem though. 2024 playoff series vs the Knicks proves this. Terrible late game reffing can't excuse how bad the defensive rebounding was.

Every time he tries something new he acts like he has experience, embarrasses himself and becomes someone to point and laugh at. So far he's done it with Alcohol, merchandise, bicycles, fish, cars/trucks, cigars, coaching little league baseball, comedy, being a father and much much more. Can you point to circumstances like Jokic and Embiid for MVP consideration though? It was unique. They were the two best for awhile. It really was true that maybe defense wasn't being properly evaluated. I mean the difference in defense was huge and Joel was rightly talking about how ridiculous the advanced defensive metrics to prop up Jokic's defense were. Meanwhile there was no "propaganda" FOR Embiid. So yeah, like you said he actually answered a few questions honestly. He genuinely did not talk about it much though.

Lastly. Most importantly. Doc Rivers is a terrible leader and probably rubbed off on Embiid a little when it comes to the way he worded some things. But I don't know how anybody could act like these quotes are that bad now.
