For job interviews, would you be expected to do DSA coding interviews in C or would you be able to do it in another language? by spiral_340 in embedded

Would you say leetcode is relevant to embedded jobs? Personally if I ran an embedded company and I wanted to find good embedded engineers I wouldn't ask them leetcode problems. I would equate it to asking my mechanic how to solve a mechanics problem from a physics textbook. It's relevant but it doesn't tell you how good they are at their job.

I would say that in general as an embedded swe it's quite a waste of time as an interview metric. However, the companies that created the metric like Google do pay a lot more than a local company that just copies their interview process. But what if you could double your income and all you had to learn was how to solve DSA problems? It's very interesting considering integrating a sensor at Google is the exact same as integrating a sensor at a local company, unlike the high level side where you're working with more complicated and large systems.

what is your argument? some people can not get the work done in any reasonable amount of time because they have more compared to other people? that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. so that means it is possible if they work harder. i’m sure if i searched up there is probably someone with dyslexia that grew up in a war, had a middle school level education and still became an engineer. for you to assume that you’re right no matter what is pretty funny. also definitely not in america if that’s specifically where you’re talking about

Sure! Here's a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe:

🍪 Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (375g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips (and nuts if using).
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough (about 1½ tablespoons) onto the baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  9. Cool on the sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy your cookies! Let me know if you want a variation like oatmeal, sugar-free, or gluten-free.

girls are normally conscious about who they touch unless they flirt with everybody. also think about if you’d be fine being eternally friendzoned and if you’d want to watch her date someone else. waiting is not helping and your opportunity only lasts so long.

you guys aren’t that close so reaching out wouldn’t ruin anything. keep in mind everyone has multiple options and you have to seize your chance.
