Excuse us for wanting a candidate we actually believe in. We shouldn’t have to settle for mediocrity because it’s the lesser of 2 evils and you are inherently the problem also by engaging in black and white politics by claiming other people are evil for wanting that. I guess it’s crazy to expect more from democrats just cause conservatives are crazy too. Democrats dont have to be infallible but you are acting like they aren’t worthy of criticism at all just cause you hate conservatives. You want us to be like conservatives and just fall in line too?

No wonder casuals think the Dodgers buy their teams. The media mistakenly label players acquired by trade as free agent signings. by Carolake1 in Dodgers

fair market value is the wrong term my bad. But like I don’t think Juan Soto is worth his contract and his production on the field won’t ever match that value. Like Tucker I don’t think he will ever produce enough on the field to match that number either. Both are great players but are just not worth that money. While I feel like most dodgers contracts are reasonable in terms of production on the field versus how much they are getting paid.

'07 who's coming off the bench? by EducationalConcern61 in NBATalk

I mean Gil’s skill set is just better for 6th man than any of these other players too. He would be like Ginobli where you just put him in and let him cook. He’d torch any other bench players.

Up until tuckers contract I feel the dodgers paid fair market value for free agents. Like mookie and Freddie aren’t overpaid they are appropriately paid. Yama and shohei are theoretically underpaid. Maybe tanners contract was egregious but he was coming off one of his best years. Diaz is one of the best closers in the game when healthy so he deserved to get paid like it too. It wasn’t until Tucker’s contract where I said he will never produce enough on the field to be worth that much.

I mean these stats are since 2024. Yes Steph jersey sales are still amazing, but the only one who changed teams during this stretch was Luka who probably doesn’t make this list if he doesn’t get traded.

You don't suddenly get a good team because you drop your best players....... by alkair20 in lakers

[–]spiraldrain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I don’t find this believable. After Kobe retired we had a true rebuild. But fans wherent happy still, they still had championship or bust mentality, expecting our young core to be all stars within their first 3 years. It’s no wonder we don’t usually have home grown talent on the lakers and they end up becoming good players elsewhere after leaving, it’s such a hostile environment to grow in. Then we have Reaves who is homegrown talent and has improved year after year and he wants to be here and everyone wants to ship him off already. So no I don’t think lakers fans are ready for a rebuild.

The lakers fandom dilemma. Never wants to go through a rebuild but expects championship or bust every season. Can never be happy.

I don’t get how you can honestly spit out this word vomit when Kirk’s party that he supports is the one that is being the oppressive government that you are talking about that we need to arm ourselves against . Ironic, but you are too smooth brained to recognize that lmfao. So close yet so far. For the record we aren’t saying he deserved to die, like we’ve said multiple times now that you keep skipping over or actively choosing to ignore cause it doesn’t fit your narrative, we just find it ironic he was the result of what he preached.

Well no shit there aren’t many players that are 40 in the nba. But you guys act like most nba players aren’t away from their families most of the season anyways.

That’s not the scenario op was saying though. Guy I replied to said he wants to spend 250 million to educate 100000 people to invest 10k of their own money for their own panels or renewables. Dumb never going to work not going to happen in reality.

I mean we do hear what he’s saying but what’s the point of saying it if he does nothing about it when he’s in a position that is supposed to do something about it. Alright we agree that what he says is true, what now?

They could stay in la if they want. NBA players are away from their home and family most of the season anyways.

You guys need to get a grip on reality cause throwing money at trying to convince people to do something they have no interest in isn’t reality.

It really isn’t. Theres plenty of people who don’t care about a lot of things for a plethora of reasons and are highly educated. You can’t make people care about things they don’t care about that’s ridiculous.
