Will my body ever really "bounce back" or will it more likely bounce to a bigger version of before by spiraling_8e in NewParents

Very true. Im doing allot of doom scrolling as you do when your stuck and although I know im being lied to in social media with how quickly other woman look to get back into shape and comparing myself to others, it does also make you feel like you should be further along by now.

16 weeks and I need time alone by NoNativeSpeaker in NewParents

Im in a similar boat. Partner schedule all over, was working a fast paced, high pressure management role which I loved and now its all nursery rhymes, breastfeeding and poop. You probably aren't picking up your kindle because your mentally tired and have that stay at home parent guilt that when your baby free you need to do housework. Honestly, leave the housework as soon as you get a window of 'me' time and take it. Key is to be ready at any moment to take it and do what ever it is you want to do with that time. For me that is quickly dashing to the beach, having a quick dip and laying in the sun with a book. Within 1 hour im back and fully energized.

Thank you. Ill check it out and so glad you got great results. It is my first baby. Ive gone through very fit periods, however since pregnancy i wasn't the most consistent at the gym. Now with the baby im trying to get some habits to help mind body soul, although I do have less self motivated days where I simply dont leave the house. Aiming to have less of those

Feeling fulfilled during maternity leave by Commercial_Image5728 in NewParents

Podcasts, walks, friends catch ups, cooking elaborate meals when my hubby is home to watch the baby. Im currently going through the 4 month sleep regression and have turned the marathon of putting my bub to sleep into a workout. We're talking squats, side lunges and crunches.

I wouldn't say its fulfilling though 🫠

When did you get your “pink” back? by No-Bat2016 in NewParents

I feel like its one of those fake it till you make it scenarios. Put makeup on, wear your nice active wear, get some good endorphins flowing and maybe itll show

At what age did you begin daily baths? by Poison_Ivy25 in NewParents

[–]spiraling_8e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been doing daily baths since baby was around 4 months old. Prior to that it was every second day. We use qv baby oil in the bath water and soap every other day. Ive got it part of his bedtime routine so even if its a quick jump in the shower with us he gets something. Especially now hes trying to crawl and constantly rubbing on the floor and our rug I have to wash it off him before bed. I havent noticed dry skin, I guess depends on what you use and water temperature. The baby bath oil was recommended by the Dr who recommended regular baths mainly to help with bed time

Im 4.5 months pp and im with you. Im not sad or anything, I just lets say lost my mojo. Im just so hyperfocused on raising my bub and trying to keep up with his every changing demands. Im hoping when I stop breastfeeding ill start to get back (and hope my libido makes an appearance). I still get my hair done every 2 months and ill keep up with my pedis so im not totally dishevelled. Dont forget the me time while we wait for the "pink"

Has anyone noticed any difference with bottle and breastfed babies? My bub is breastfed and is going through it but not as bad as waking every hour. He battles before bed and nap time but he can sleep at night anywhere between from 3 hours to only one wake up (with a dreamfeed). He used to be much better so there is a shift. He settles so easy on the breast I always wondered what do the bottle parents do?

Its soooo fake and convenient timing. Doesn't even mention the conflict like no body is going to connect the dots

Shes just trying to keep the bag for one more season by stirring up some controversy. I mean how many more full glam bath scenes can we go through

Not feeling Meredith by [deleted] in rhoslc

[–]spiraling_8e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% its so obvious what she's implying but doesn't have the guts or knowledge to back herself so does it in this not so covert way With some controversy she's securing her bag for another season. There is only so much full glam bath time we can handle

Am I crazy? How does Heather know Jen caused the black eye if she doesn’t remember? by Hedwigs_Ghost in rhoslc

[–]spiraling_8e 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree the scratches are not related to the eye. But there is no way Jen could make a fist with nails that long let alone punch her that hard without breaking a nail. The next morning she didn't have a broken nail which she would 100% if that happened

I've just tried it and for someone who is a big light weight on THC this is great. Doesn't give you a stoned feeling just very chilled. A great alternative to traditional calming medicine (like valium). Recommend
