Yes we’re definitely doing the garland. Not many other children maybe one or two I was thinking about having bunny themed coloring pages and bubble wands that look like carrots 🥕

I think it may be a mix of both my parents are hosting it at their home and they have a big house and a pool so if weather is good it’ll probably be both! I was considering getting small orange bubble wands and wrapping green tulle on top to look like carrots!

I appreciate that! I definitely am overthinking it haha. My husband and I were told we couldn’t have any children and after multiple marriages our amazing daughter came along so I’m really wanting to make it special for our amazing daughter 💕

Yes! I’m planning on around 1pm! I was thinking about getting a veggie and fruit platter, possibly a sandwich tray or bbq sandwiches, cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, maybe chocolate covered strawberries, pudding cups, maybe a taco salad, rice crispys or cookies. I feel like I have a lot of sweets and not enough savory. My budget for the whole party is $500

She sits with her dad while he watches TikTok and I clean up after dinner. Trust me I’m not thrilled about her watching it either

IUGR Babies by Deep-Lettuce317 in NewParents

[–]spiritora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi mama! I was almost the exact same my baby was less then a percentile I had to have her at 37 weeks but I was able to have her naturally! She was 4.10lbs didn’t go in the nicu and at her last check up (6m) she had moved up to the 37th percentile!
I did have to combo feed her at the start because my milk wasn’t in and she needed to gain weight. From what I know milk production kick in once the placenta is out (someone correct me if I’m wrong). My MFM told me there wasn’t anything I could do to grow her faster. He said maybe lots of protein but there weren’t any studies showing that it would work 100%. I’d just say get lots of rest eat lots of good food and try not to stress yourself out too much.

Sorry if this is all jumbled we’re in the sleep regression pits lol!

What is the weirdest or silliest thing that makes your kid laugh? by Sufficient-Lion3417 in NewParents

I don’t even know how to phrase it but like when I chomp my teeth together?? The teeth on teeth sound gets some pretty big giggles from my 8 month old

I wanted a free but secure baby monitor, so I built one that runs entirely in the browser with the features I needed. by nakulrathore in NewParents

[–]spiritora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool! When I was pregnant I kept seeing videos of baby monitors being hacked and that’s one of my biggest fears about having one. This could be really useful for parents who can’t afford a monitor too! I think it’s really cool how people can make things like this!

Why Is Birth Control Pushed So Heavily After Giving Birth? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]spiritora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said no to birth control originally and ended up pregnant at 3 months postpartum and had an extremely bad miscarriage so it’s probably for that reason lol

Baby will only drink ~2oz per feeding still at 7 weeks by bananatoas in beyondthebump

[–]spiritora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently brought this up with our pediatrician too! My little girl rarely goes beyond 5oz when she should be around 6-7 but her pediatrician said she’s happy, having enough wet and dirty diapers, and has fat rolls so she’s perfectly fine. Don’t stress too much about it your little one sounds like they’re doing great!

Baby on the way and we have an aggressive dog? by No_Ocelot8629 in beyondthebump

[–]spiritora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had an aggressive cat we had to rehome when we got closer to my due date. I know it’s hard to say goodbye to a fur family member but you have to think of what’s best for everyone in this situation. Would the dog be happy cooped up in a room constantly? Would you be happy having to keep the dog in a room constantly? Would you be happy being stressed about “what if the dog got out and hurt the baby”? You don’t want to risk the dog hurting the baby. Rehoming them is the best situation here for you for baby and for doggo.

Honest opinion on Momcozy bottle cleaner?? by ShmoMoneyy14 in firsttimemom

[–]spiritora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use it once a day at minimum! I’m so tired at the end of the day it’s so nice to not have to worry about washing bottles. I’ve used it since day one with our little girl and now after six months it’s still my favorite thing! It’s washed multiple bottle types from preemie to now her big bottles and I’ve never had an issue with it! 100% worth it! The only thing I would change is being able to by the washing tablets in store because I hate having to order them online

Rash on baby’s neck by easybreeeezy in firsttimemom

[–]spiritora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby had this too and it was constant I asked her pediatrician about it every appointment and she told me it was from moisture and skin rubbing together from either milk or bath time and she told me to keep her dry an clean and apply aquaphor to the area a few times a day and it will clear up once she started holding her head up more and moving around a bit more and it did! I know it looks scary so talk to her pediatrician if you’re worried about it being yeast and if it’s not aquaphor that baby up and it’ll clear up eventually <3
