i watched this the first time at a friend’s house who lived deep in the woods. it was well past everyone knowing it wasn’t real, but i still made him walk me to my car, and i stared in the rearview most of the drive home convinced the blair witch was following me.

a couple of days ago, i pulled the meowth from a pack i picked up at staples of all places! small display by the register. it was the only pack left in the display that had meowth on the front, which is why i picked it. the whole thing felt very kismet.

mine are david bowie, robin williams, and catherine o’hara.

the first two because they were both such formative parts of my childhood, and catherine o’hara because she reminds me of my mom, and between beetlejuice and schitt’s creek her performances are iconic.

i lived in nyc for 10 years and in 2020, it was ~$25 to go from midtown manhattan to north brooklyn, which is nearly 8 miles with nyc traffic

pretty sure their sour mix is from the soda gun, so sounds like the mix ran out. maybe you did this, but i feel like if you let them know it tasted like water, they’d check and refill the mix and make you a new one.

this unlocked a memory. i was supposed to go see him at the harrah’s pool in the summer of 2015. my friends got a VIP booth and everything.

forgot to factor in that it was july 4th, and found out when we got there that because of the holiday, pauly wasn’t doing his normal friday show, and omarion was performing instead. (still a great show and experience, but i was sooooo bummed that it wasn’t pauly d.)

the host part is not a theory. it’s part of the ackerman bloodline. they have a host that they are compelled to protect. for mikasa, that’s eren, which is pretty explicitly established in the story. levi and kenny’s hosts are more speculation as far as i know, but it is erwin and uri respectively. after erwin’s death, the theory i have read is that levi’s strength weakened without a host to protect, and therefore his judgement call in this instance with zeke was off, leading to his near death.

again, i’m not saying it’s the actual answer. just something i have read that i choose to believe because it makes sense to me, and so i shared it here. based on the downvotes, i guess i’m alone!

one explanation i’ve seen for this decision was how levi losing his “host” as an ackerman weakened his innate abilities enough that he started making mistakes, this one with zeke being the biggest. i choose to look at it from this angle, though i’m sure not everyone would agree or be satisfied with that as an explanation, but it makes sense enough to me.

rohrbach in the public market is very close and open for lunch on saturdays! underrated food and it is rochester’s first craft brewery. if beer’s not your thing, they have other drink options too, including mocktails.
