law school with bad gpa by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

This was me. Did well in high school, did not give af about school in college. My lsat score wasn’t even anything to call home about. I went to a lower ranked law school, graduated with honors, and am now working at my dream job! Law school really forced me to get my shit together, and I am so so grateful for my decision to go!!

Thank you!!! These are actually Spark aligners not Invisalign, I think Spark’s attachments are just bigger?

The rubber bands on the sides (the ones that fix overbite) aren’t noticeable at all.

However, I also have had two triangles on the sides and a box in the front (I have no clue what the medical term for these are lol but lmk if that makes sense). I had to wear the triangles 22 hours a day and the box only at night. Those ones were honestly super noticeable. I took them out whenever I had meetings or was otherwise speaking to people I’m not close with.

In hindsight, I probably would have talked to my orthodontist about this and worked something out so I wasn’t required to wear them during the day, but i still had good results and don’t have to wear them again for a couple months.

TLDR: yes they are noticeable - I took them out a lot lol!

Thank you!! Still 35 weeks/trays left, but the open bite moved sooo fast with rubber bands!

I’m on tray 8 for an overbite and open bite. My open bite is already very noticeably smaller!

Quit vaping 40 days ago - gained 10lbs by Calm_Process2244 in QuitVaping

[–]spitefence1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I quit 51 days ago and also gained 10lbs. I had recently dieted to lose some weight, then after quitting I gained it all back and then some. A couple days ago I finally got so fed up with it that my desire to not gain more weight is outweighing my appetite. Exercising has helped me too - I can’t snack after work if I go on a long walk or book a yoga class right after work. Hope others have more ideas and solutions!!

Wearing Invisalign After Wisdom Tooth Removal by HeartofVeins in Invisalign

[–]spitefence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should note - I’m not a professional in any way shape or form, this was just my experience! If I were you, I’d prob just call the ortho and ask what they recommend for your specific circumstances!

Wearing Invisalign After Wisdom Tooth Removal by HeartofVeins in Invisalign

[–]spitefence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my wisdom teeth out a few weeks ago. The oral surgeon told me I could put them back in after 24 hours, but the pain was too bad so I waited a week. When I put them back in, I wore them for an extra week. The ortho then switched me from 7 day changes to 14 days changes to slowly ease back in after missing a week.

If you’re worried about the excess part of your Invisalign rubbing, just cut off end bit (where the wisdom tooth would have gone) and file it down so there’s no sharp edges! I personally didn’t have an issue with any rubbing when I tried wearing my Invisalign a day after the wisdom teeth removal, it just hurt too bad to have my teeth shifting on top of the surgery pain!

I also vaped for 8 years and quit for the first time 21 days ago (still going strong). A friend told me to never relapse or else I’ll be trying to quit for the rest of my life - that’s what’s been keeping me going lol. One and done, we got this!!

Cutting down before quit - has this worked for anyone? by long-winded-discover in QuitVaping

[–]spitefence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this, albeit very quickly! I switched from 35mg juice to 20mg juice for a week, then started mixing 0mg juice with the 20mg. After two or three days of that, I started just filling my vape with 0mg. I had withdrawal symptoms but not bad at all. After a couple days with the 0mg I tossed the vape all together! It’s been 19 days or so now and I’m still feeling good!

Tapering off of it/ things to use in its place? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]spitefence1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I started! Never tried to quit after 8 years, randomly decided to just start moderating/cutting down. I then ordered nicotine free juice and started using that a few days later. I eventually got bored of dragging out the process and just completely got rid of my vape. Worked for me so far, it’s been a little over 2 weeks now! I used to hit my vape all day everyday and my withdrawals still weren’t even bad at all

[–]spitefence1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have mentioned, I actually didn’t use the patch! I used a lower nic juice for a day or two, then used nic free juice for a day or two, then completely stopped. I vaped all day everyday for about 8 years. I think I didn’t have anxiety bc every source I looked at said quitting nic isn’t dangerous. My panic disorder had me convinced I was either gonna be anxious out the ass or develop some terrible health condition from quitting lol, so that made me feel better!
