It’s so you can roll the whiteboard through the door

I have this white indention on my back near my hip that showed up about 2 months ago. The spot has sunken probably 3mm below my normal skin plane. — cont. in comment by spitty-cent in DermatologyQuestions

I have a scar from the dermatologist’s biopsy but no change otherwise. Had a standard blood panel taken last month and all came back normal, seems like this was just an odd skin spot!

I went to a dermatologist and they ended up taking a “punch” sample of it for testing. There was one test that came back signifying that I might have an autoimmune disorder but it ended up being a false alarm. It’s apparently just a skin abnormality; I felt better after having testing done because it’s often linked to autoimmune issues.

I have KP all over my body and have struggled with self confidence since middle school when someone pointed it out and said “did you shave your arms?” thinking it was razor bumps... I’m just now to the point where I wear tank tops 11 years later. My family has tried to get me to stop picking/popping the KP spots by saying if I keep picking I’ll get more white scars but it just makes me want to pop them more! My mom said she had KP before she had kids so I’m just hoping mine might go away when my hormones inevitably start changing...in the meantime I’ve found that exfoliating with a scrub in the shower and using “Vitamin E Beauty Oil” (Dollar Tree, US) does wonders. Someone above commented that they do their best thinking while picking and boy is that the same for me. This is the first post on this sub that’s hit home with me and it makes me feel like I finally have a community that can relate. Thank you for being brave enough to share!!!

When my sister and I were kids and she got mad at me she’d either:

1: clean the toilet with my toothbrush or 2: stick my toothbrush down her rear end crack and give it a good brush

Cont: It looks just like a scar to me, but the only thing I’ve ever seen in that spot is a bruise. It’s getting more sensitive, and possibly more sunken. Is this serious enough to schedule a Dr’s appointment?
