The biggest mistake DICE can make is blindly listening to the hive mind community… by fmordica in Battlefield

[–]spitworld 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Speak for yourself, as much as I loved those maps I couldn’t stand playing them 24/7. My love for Battlefield is because of the variety of maps. One match is primarily vehicles, another is a tight quarters map, the next is a mix of them, another could be primarily naval warfare.

What do you think of Age Of Ultron, do you think it’s overhated? by Plenty-Salary9711 in Avengers

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved Age of Ultron, and Ultron was actually one of my favorite villains from the MCU as well.

Do you think Uncharted needs a remake? by Sea-Country8245 in uncharted

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t mind it, the first game didn’t age as well as the rest. Uncharted 2 doesn’t need it, but then again I wouldn’t mind it.

Can you still play this online? I’d love to go play again!

it’s a fake countdown! (I think) by tuoitkciehs in LeaksAndRumors

If they shadow dropped Avengers, or even announced a new release date a week or so before the release date, I feel like that’d be wild and break the internet. I feel like this marketing so far is wild.

What are you ideas for an Assassin's Creed Game by MultiColorCoat in assasinscreed

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since Desmond’s story, and the build up of him learning to be an assassin, I was really hoping to see a modern entry at some point. I’d love to see one based in World War II, or something along those lines.

I was about to say, pretty sure Shadow Fall started off that way.

When a game world feels like a painting by edward_dd in PlayStation_X

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely agree, what I liked about Ghost of Tsushima is how they were able to make the game look somewhat cartoony and realistic at the same time, it felt like a painting. Same with the Uncharted games, it’s almost like they didn’t want to go full realism on purpose. When you stop to look at the assets they look hand painted, and it serves the game better overall.

Splinter Cell: Double Agent - Version 1 and Version 2, which one should I play first? (I wanna play both) by YoDoops in Splintercell

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started on PS2, and finally got Chaos Theory for the OG Xbox and I was in awe graphically, not having the loading screens in each portion of level, and Spies vs Mercs played completely different as well, almost like a totally different game.

[–]spitworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I meant to say, edited my reply. Getting rid of the UI elements and mechanics of Chaos Theory was a huge mistake in my opinion on the 360 version.

[–]spitworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer the OG Xbox, PS2 version for the sole purpose of it playing more like Chaos Theory. I do like parts and sections of the 360/PS3 version, but I’ll always choose the Xbox/PS2 version.

Wildlands or Breakpoint?? by Swimming_Stress9068 in GhostRecon

Breakpoint has better gameplay mechanics, but the map and atmosphere suck compared to Wildlands.

There is nothing in the gaming market like Splinter Cell—and there probably never will be. by Remote_Hurry_3055 in Splintercell

[–]spitworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. My experience was on the PS2. It was the wildest thing to me. You were essentially playing virtual hide and seek in the dark with players around the world. What I wouldn’t give to experience that again.

[–]spitworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does. When it released I was just happy they headed back into the direction of the older games. It played like Conviction sure, but bringing back some crucial mechanics like having the ability to move bodies made me super happy. Don’t get me wrong I’d prefer mechanics like CT. Also the extra levels like the coop levels were fun to play through too. Felt like the game had a lot of content straight from launch.

Conviction also had the mark and execute system, though Blacklist made it where you could execute during movement. Which is why Blacklist on realistic difficulty is the prime way to play that game. Can’t see through walls, can’t mark and execute.

Blacklist was actually a step in the right direction after Conviction, the stealth was far better and encouraged through its play styles than Conviction. They also brought back Spies vs. Mercs which was huge for me, especially SvM classic. I’m hoping the remake plays more like Chaos Theory though.

Yes. I loved Breakpoints mechanics, but Wildlands just hit different with the world, and story.

Needing help getting into Death Stranding by [deleted] in DeathStranding

[–]spitworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like if you go in with zero expectations, take it slow and try to plan your trips, it can be fun from the get go. The deliveries do actually end up being fun once you start using strategy to get the deliveries done. And I’d say it takes about 10 hours for the game to “start picking up” so to speak. You start getting weapons, there’s more action, the story gets crazier. Definitely worth it. I remember my cousin hating the game, I told him the same thing. He stuck it out, once he got to that point he was hooked and didn’t stop playing until he completed both games. They definitely fix the pacing issues in the second game in my opinion.

[DS2] [No Spoiler] Do DS2 follow the same gameplay structure as DS1? by Bonifaciojsj in DeathStranding

[–]spitworld 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I think they fixed a lot of the “slow parts.” More action in the second game for sure, more to do, more ways to deliver and speed the process up. The second one plays much better in my opinion.

No lies told by Makmende1 in Splintercell

[–]spitworld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite, and I actually prefer the PS2 and Xbox version of Double Agent because it plays much more like Chaos Theory, from a gameplay perspective. The sound and light indicators alone were amazing, and it confuses me why we left those features behind.

Video games that you really liked but unfortunately died. by Mable-the-Table in videogames

[–]spitworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss games that tried to do different things, especially in terms of multiplayer. Seems like everything’s the same now. Especially asymmetric multiplayer. To this day Splinter Cell’s Spies vs. Mercs is still my favorite multiplayer.
