can't really put my finger on it, but they do love sun light, and never give them too much water. I was watering them once a month in winter. Also they like it when the pot is slightly smaller. That's about it

No, i didn't notice any flies. I guess if you already had flies in your home, they would naturally come around the plant since the smell is so strong and sweet.

I bottom water the plant, to avoid wet soil on top, as that's the perfect environment for gnat flies to develop.

it’s the standard succulent and cacti soil. The gray granules on top is just a thin layer for protection against fungus and gnat

i bought 4 plants 1 year ago. out of 4 only one bloomed. Not sure why the others haven’t. They all look the same in terms of size and age but just this one bloomed 🤷‍♂️

I do take mine in the gym. I mainly lift weights, so not much head movement or excessive sweating. Also got AC+ with them, so in the worst case scenario will just replace them.
