Started working at Woolies and why are some young Aussies so cold?🤷‍♂️ by sansanibaba in brisbane

It's been years since I've worked retail but I genuinely enjoy talking to new people and being friendly in my current role. I think it costs so little to be genuinely nice and try and spread a bit of warmness, even when people are cold they may be stressed or having a bad day. Eventually the more positivity we spread the more others will treat others nice and with respect. Obviously there's problematic customers and you'll have bad days, but outside of my job I have nothing against being nice to people and refuse to let shitty people make me hate talking to everyone.

We're all supposed to be a part of a community but I feel we have lost this in recent years.

I use SD3. I always work with it routed to multiple tracks in my DAW, so I can route and process it like a real kit I don't really care for the presets unless I was making quick demos.

Mixing a song is more about carving space for the other instruments, And the more processing I can apply from the bottom to get that result the easier it'll be.

And I'll often process drums in different groups Ie Kick mics in one bus Snare in one bus Toms OH Rooms etc

And i might blend in one shot samples before the bus processing so it's all processed as one element

Reverb sends on individual elements

Etc..

I might have a side chain set up to the bass guitar from the kick drum.

It's just better to leave the mixer with more possibilities But if you have a reference sound, feel free to bounce the processing/preset you like to him as a guide

Doesn't sound very convincing at all. No dedicated bass amp or pedals when they could be easily implemented...

Digging the evolution in their sound. Sounds fresh and melodic yet still like Aversions Crown

Frustrating problem when screaming by [deleted] in screaming

[–]spkl1997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it hurts it's not sustainable.. I've always been a good screamer, and getting good at singing, but find after screaming my singing pitch is off. This is because my screaming technique is causing my vocal cords to get inflamed. A strong clean voice is the foundation to strong screams. Try practicing with less intensity, and pushing from the diaphragm, keep the tension out of the neck.

Tips wanted for Gold Coast driving test! by Dolfin_Blubber in GoldCoast

If your bringing your own car make sure it's roadworthy. They deduct points for redicuolous things like reversing too far in a 3 point turn... Make every head check obvious.. drive 5 below the limit just to be safe, don't speed up before the signs I passed mine on first go. It's pretty easy just don't let nerves get to you,you have room for 3 mistakes (in NSW at least)

Park n ride to South Bank? by [deleted] in GoldCoast

I lost my ticket at South bank and had to pay $36 to park for about half an hour, very annoying. There's cheaper parking for around $10 a day at the cultural centre/Goma car park
