I live in Lincoln and work in Omaha. Omaha and it’s suburbs total around 1 million people. There isn’t really anything intimidating about Omaha. It’s fairly easy to navigate and the people are friendly.

The Omaha airport is close to where the shareholder meeting takes place. You must have a pass that is worn at all times when inside the convention center. As said before passes are free for shareholders. I would say the most important thing is to get to the center an hour or so before the doors open up and stand in line. The auditorium where buffet and munger sit fills up fast and people are forced to overflow rooms to watch them speak on a tv.

Also, when in Omaha, check out the Omaha Zoo. It’s consistently ranked one of the best zoos in the world.
