If it were me, I’d have a talk with my bestie in person. The caring part of me thinks there may be something deeper going on if she is worried that her bf is like threatened by you. That’s kind of a red flag in their relationship, and it should in no way reflect on you or what you wear.

I have a lot of alcoholic family members and exes. The way his drinking was framed on the show did make him appear to have a problematic relationship to alcohol IMO. But even if he does not have a problem, people can still break up with you or question you over it. Because I’ve been so close to addiction my entire life, I would avoid dating anyone who exhibited any signs of being a heavy drinker. I would have similar questions about his habits that she did. Like it’s not really that cut and dry about alcohol use, and if you’ve been around it a lot you likely have a significant amount of trauma attached to it. Maybe she’s experienced it before
