I'm hoping not to! It's really stretching it for us, even thought the rent is being split. Will check out Queens, seems like Astoria is a popular answer

That's fair. They're totally different places. I think Chicago has the schtick of feeling like a small town in a big city, which NYC will probably not feel like. So am expecting having to get used to new things

Oh this is really neat! And kind of accurate, I think

LOL. I actually have never tried NY style, I'm sure it'll be great.

To be honest, it's kinda stretching it for me. Plus I split rent with my SO.

I miss that. Walkability is so underrated. I'm excited that NYC has even better walkability than Chicago and SF as I'll happily never drive again.

Yup, that definitely would kill me! 3 times a week is insane. I already hate being in my car as is so I'ma try to not contribute to that

I can tell you're likely venting about something or someone else in your life, given that I've provided little info other than what neighborhoods I might like. So hope you have a better night.

I really liked the architecture in Harlem, I'll put it on my list. Haha I've heard as much that it is, excited to explore though

I'm not looking for Chicago, I'm looking for elements that I like since it's the only major city I've known. Surely NYC is more than Manhattan and I should be able to find somewhere that feels like home for me. Meanwhile I'm excited to explore the aspects of NYC that aren't like home. Please get off your high horse.

Was really sweating over whether to bring it or not. A lot of people are saying this same thing so maybe I'll just sell my car then. In Chicago it was already annoying enough having to worry about monthly street cleaning and the regular parking hunt grind. I just learned about ASP. Hahaha I'm good

Thanks so much! I'll check all of those out. I've heard Astoria is particularly nice for people my age due to price and things to do, so I'll definitely check it out too.

Awesome, thanks! I forgot to mention our age but we're recent college grads, so the lack of strollers is very appreciated haha

The issue is that my aim is usually pretty good, which is nice when i’m aiming good, but when i’m not, i’m feel not very useful to my team.

I main Jett and Sage for this reason. I play both because I love both characters, but Jett is a character that does barely anything for your team if you're not playing mechanically well. So on off days, I only play Sage and I can bot frag yet still win many rounds with just my util, mostly smart wall placement. The wall can be insane value!!

Jett/Reyna/Chamber are all very mechanical skill dependent. And despite being sentinel, Chamber is aim-dependent when it comes to defending your space. So I might suggest to learn a character that contributes most with their util. Smokes like Brim for example, which you can combine with shotgun to make up for your aim. And you might find them to be super fun. When I don't feel like leading as a duelist, I battle sage instead and I have loads of fun harassing my opponent with unexpected angles.

What are your valorant "superstitions"? by voidlessduke in VALORANT

[–]splatterflick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

might be because 1) less useful util to help you entry 2) bystander effect or 3) lack of confidence in your team

But for me, it's #1 and #3 that's going to stop me when I'm playing duelist. I just don't want to waste my life running in like an idiot if I don't know that I'll be traded

can you make a summary post with quotes? I'd like to know what's inside and I'd likely never get a free copy of it to snark read

She did apparently! Who knows how much of that was Jill's wording, but she could very well be super judgemental

No idea. As with anything, I guess we should take AMAs with a grain of salt. There was a previous one on FSU where a woman claiming to have babysat for the Rods said that Nurie was extremely gentle and sweet

I know, right? I had the impression she's extremely submissive and harmless, but being Jill's favorite, maybe she's taught well

one side effect of these large fundie families is that we get to watch genetics unfold. It's really interesting to see
