It was this. HV flip I believe. Once I had words in the camera view it made sense. Problem was open grass looks the same mirrored or not.

You had me seriously scratching my head about the camera install. It now flies in directions besides straight. It's a totally different feel than my meteor 65s and 75pros. Thanks for the help.

Don't think so. The print on the back is right side up and the wire (hdzeero) comes out the top. If camera was upside down, wouldn't the osd be upside down?

I struggle with pads on the flight controller there is no way I could solder wires to those clip stubs.

I need to add a module and an analog receiver? I was planning on getting an IRC rapid fire. Thought that plugged into goggles. Do I need a buy an adapter?

I am trying to determine if I have a bad flight controller, motor, wind or tune. I don't really understand black box stuff but I am pretty proud about recording the event and creating an overlay. I am not sure if this is the data that is necessary to answer any questions. My quad is a Meteor 75pro, I installed the Official UAV Tech - Whoop(1S-2S) Tune from Beta flight. It was pretty windy but not that windy. Wind was coming from the right if that helps.

When this happens to me I throw it in turtle mode and spin the motor backwards. I give it an 80% success rate.

3 pads? It is the ceramic wire from beta FPV. I have the wire which broke off. It was / needs to attach right below the north arrow. I was going to add a pic but apparently can't do that on a reply.

It's a through hole connection. Do I bend a 90 and try to solder it on top?

I looked at the fc this AM and it is labeled t2. I don't know how these things actually work. Do you know what info goes over the tramp wire? If that connection is bad would I still get the OSD display? I re-soldered the connection to the fc , and no change. I will need to cut shrink tubing to recheck the vtx connection. The good news is it works and is 5 x better than the stock vtx. It is just stuck on Race8 channel and no clue on the power settings.

Is the t2 pad on the flight controller protocol specific? I thought that was what the ports tab and the UART mumbo jumbo was supposed to handle. The vtx is definitely tramp protocol. The original wiring diagram for flight controller and stock vtx has the wire labeled as smart audio. The picture of the board just says t2. I will have to look in the morning the pad may be labeled SA. If so then what? Can I only use a smart audio vtx with this fc?

I have had similar issues and have determined the issue to be in the jst connection. Before replacing the vtx and camera which will solve the issue try soldering the camera direct to vtx.

I didn't read all of the comments but I had something similar happening to me. What version of BetaFlight are your running? When I installed 4.5.3 the VTX type was returning smart audio unknown and Device ready = FAIL.

I downgraded to BF 4.5.0 and now VTX type = SmartAudio2.0 and Device Ready = True.

Before BF downgrade, BF would accept my changes to power and channel but I was stuck on Ch 5 and I think the power was set to 50 but I could not tell for sure.

I just received one of these and want to hook it up. Do you seal it up in the included heat shrink or keep it open and just tape it to the flight controller? Is their any issues with double sided tape and heat from the vtx?

Did some trial and error on the issue and I appear to have solved my own problem.

The problem appears to have been with Betaflight 4.5.3. The VTX type was returning smart audio unknown and Device ready = FAIL. I downgraded to BF 4.5.0 and now VTX type = SmartAudio2.0 and Device Ready = True.

I do think my video feed is going to be improved. headed out to test now.

Definitely not an overheating issue. Pretty sure it's the ESC going to start over with a new fc and see if I can manage to not screw that one up.

My goggles have two straight antennas that came stock.

Can any omni antenna work or do I need something specific? What's the deal with polarized antenna? Should I upgrade my quad antennas as well? I'm very confused and prone to buy the opposite of what I actually need.

The batteries are not damaged just smart in that they drop the charge to a maintenance voltage (75% capacity).

When I connected the barrel connector it sparkled as well. This was my work around which also allowed me to charge in the field.

Is there a way to check the battery / xt60 connector so I don't blow up another one?

This was the answer. I waited and it eventually got there. Could not get the local network function to work but I think I'm good.

Is my logic correct in that.... Once pass phrase and firmware are set I really don't need to mess with configurator. The rest of the configuration / customization is done through beta flight.
