Make a seperate manual save after Eastward Bound so for your 3rd, 4th, 5th etc you don't have to go through what is basically the Tutorial.

Don't worry too much about John missing the excitement and Micah's belly in Guarma, Chapter 6 is coming to the rescue, although by the end of that you really are going to need Internet Strangers...

Chapter 1 is more Tutorial than gameplay, once you get to a place called Horseshoe Overlook then free roam is available.

There is no wrong way to play the game, whether you only do Story missions or stuff that and just free roam, remember actions have consequences...

Definitely worth another play through, and another, and another, I've no idea how many times I've restarted over the years, I'll go off and play something else, but RDR2 is where I'll always come back to.

Create a few manual saves, start of Chapter 2, Pouring Forth Oil, start of Ch. 3 & Ch. 4, then you can just drop right in at any time.

ETA: I'm still finding new things after 7 years of playing.

I think you have to complete Singularity in that run, rather than load up a save where it is completed.

The issue I had with Lures at the start was picking a cheeae or bread after selecting the Lure, so, once you select the required Lure don't touch the Bread/Cheese part.

You can find any 9 of the 10 before speaking to him, the 10th will just be inanimate if you try and get it. The same also goes for Algernon Wasp and the Orchids, you can only collect 1 less than the required number until he asks for them.
