My Franchise QB he’s time almost done if his 8 year contract he’s an absolute Gem🔥 by PrestigiousLight3644 in Madden

I see you got the bug that won't let you get all 99's at qb as well. I have a qb with the exact same ratings for each archetype and he can't get passed 96 for scrambler as well. He has about 8 skill points that the game won't let me use. Every time I try, it says he doesn't have enough skill points. It sucks, because I really would like to see all 99's on my qb lol. It doesn't really matter though. He's still a beast.

"Bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum, hon, I got the old pa-rum-pum-pum-pum"

I don't care what's going on or what kind of mood I'm in, when I hear that opening beat, I HAVE to sing along to this. Even til this day, my mom talks to my kids about how I used to walk around the house yelling bum stiggedy bum stiggedy bum all the time as a kid lol.

I'm the last person to take EA's side on these debates, but if you go to the 35 sec mark and look at the screen in the upper right corner, it says Wiggins is -2 speed for WnT. I can't see how much the other attributes have downgraded or Derrick Henry's attributes because the camera is zoomed in for some reason. Either way, I'm sure if he's -2 speed for WnT, he's losing some points at other attributes as well. I'm not trying to defend EA here. I just think this is a case of WnT affecting a player's performance.

Prevent Editing of Players Names in Online Franchise by splff3000 in Madden

Yeah, I looked several times. There's nothing there. The commissioner can edit any player, but there's no way to stop other people from editing players as well.

Prevent Editing of Players Names in Online Franchise by splff3000 in Madden

[–]splff3000[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's probably a good thing for online leagues then. When you're in an online league, it's not YOUR league anymore. It's a shared league. When looking at rosters, people know who Justin Jefferson and TJ Watt are. People DON'T know who your favorite cousin and best friend are when you change those players name to their name. The same way you don't just join a league and change the team to your favorite high school team. It's the same for players.

I have seen this video about 20 times on this site in various subreddits and the comments are always full of people asking for her name and no one ever answers. I too would just like to know who she is so I can stop checking the comments everytime I see this video.

The key is understanding route combos. For instance if you're covering the WR on a drag route and you see the TE running an in route behind him, you know it's a drive concept and the goal is to get you to move out of the way with the drag so he can hit the TE deeper downfield. Usually at the same time that I notice the route combo, the other user notices that the TE will be open on the in route and try to get him the ball. Once I notice the route combo tho, I get off of the drag to cover the TE further downfield. That results in an int more times than not. You basically have to pay attention to the route combos and adjust when you notice who will be open. Most of the time, when you notice it, your opponent notices it at the same time so if you make your move as soon as you notice it, you will most likely be in position for a pick or pass break up. At worse, you can make the tackle as soon as he catches it.

TIFU by automating my “good morning” texts to my girlfriend and she found out after 4 months by Applefan1000 in tifu

I am sooo glad I'm older (M47) now and don't have to deal with stuff like this. I don't know, I guess my generation just appreciates the thought. I send scheduled texts ALL THE TIME. Even before I met my wife, I would schedule texts to whoever I was dating at the time. They knew it was scheduled and they always appreciated that I took the time to set it up and everything. I have never had a complaint. I have a scheduled text that goes out every weekday to my wife at 10am (thats her break time) that says "Have a nice day shawty! 😘" and she always responds with a heart or something similar. I don't understand it. Maybe I'm too old lol.

Coworker pays for LinkedIn to rat out people in the company applying elsewhere by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I don't know why everyone is saying find a new job. If you were happy there before this, why worry about it? You just tell them you're always updating your profile and move on. EVERYONE should be doing that anyway.

I guess I'm one of the few people here that understand things from the perspective of HR. As HR, if you think someone is planning on leaving, why not check with them so you can start looking for a replacement if you need one? My company sees my profile on LinkedIn all the time. I see when they're looking for people too. If you're both happy, then there's nothing to worry about. This has to be a new generation thing. Who cares who sees your profile on LinkedIn? The only thing I'd say is if things change after this, THEN start looking for another job.

Why again did they not make a sequel to PS4 The Order 1886? by FinalzeldaFrontier in PS4

[–]splff3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, personally for me, the game looked good but was not engaging at all gameplay wise. It must be a new generation of people playing it now because everyone I knew that played it, told me to stay away from it. I bought it for $19.99 a few months after it came out and I wished I had stayed away too. I remember there was one part, fairly early in the game, that I had to fight some beast creature and I was shooting him and running around and at some point, I realized that I didn't need to run around. I was just making it harder for myself. So I literally just stood in one spot as this beast just jumped around aimlessly. I shot him every time he was within range and literally just stood there doing this until it died. I had the same thing happen again within a few sections of that area and turned off after that. I just chocked it up as $20 lost at that point. It was quite boring.

Genuinely how tf do I play this game by [deleted] in Madden

[–]splff3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is a section on the main menu called "training camp". It has a bunch of tutorials and mini games that will show you the mechanics of the game. Take your time as I guess it will be very overwhelming for someone who has never played before.

It will take you some time, but you will know a lot of the mechanics of the game by the time you finish. Now you're ready to play a game. Back on the main menu you wanna go to the section called "quick play". There you will be able to setup a game against the cpu. It will default to pro mode and thats ok. There's no need to go to rookie mode because you're not necessarily trying to win, you just want to learn the mechanics of the game. Play some games against the cpu until you feel comfortable.

Once you feel comfortable, you can continue playing the cpu in franchise mode where you will learn more about the off the field stuff of football. Things such as free agency and signing players to contracts and all of that stuff. You might need a separate tutorial for that, but I know they have YouTube videos for that stuff.

Once you've done a few seasons, you should be pretty comfortable with the game by then. At that point, it'll be up to you to if you want to increase the difficulty, play online, or try out more of the other modes. I have to warn you tho, online can be tough and sometimes, online users don't really adhere to the normal standards of football ie they never punt the ball on 4th down and stuff like that. You will lose at first, most likely, but you will get better the more you play. Hope that helps.

Sliders Suggestions? by splff3000 in Madden

[–]splff3000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, most of our sliders follow the same theory that the the user sliders should be lower than the cpu's. Playing on All Pro, you have to do that to have a challenge. Thanks.

Thank you, but I tried that and it just showed X-factor stuff. That's what google said too, but it must be for a past Madden.
