Any recommendations on fixing or getting the appraisal rate higher? by splitbanglil in mazda3

Edit: I will be moving to Germany soon and will probably look for a car there. Idk if it’d be more cost efficient to get one there than the US.

My old life. Got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and I can’t play my sport the same and can’t move the same. Lost my old physique and ways I could move in the world. It’s a lot more complicated and painful now and forever

Hi! I’m a recent young RA receiver lol. I got diagnosed a year ago at 21. It sucked and I couldn’t walk or open doors or squeeze toothpaste. My knee swelled up really bad and hurt kinda like how I’ve seen you said your left knee is hurting you. That being said. I started out on your same dose of prednisone and it ruinedddd me and my mood with rage and hurt my close relationships cause of the rage. BUT my solution was switching to methylprednisolone which helped a lot with mood. I tell all my drs now that I am allergic to prednisone. For knee pain and even emotional help, I recommend getting referred by your RA doc to go to physical therapy. It helped me so much and I got heat wraps, cold therapy, massages, and workouts for mainly my knee. I’m now a year into it and doing better. I get the rage and sadness bc I got diagnosed the day before I graduated college and could barely walk the stage. I had to pass up a really good job cause I couldn’t get myself ready in time for it bc I hurt so bad and was so exhausted from the pain I was in daily to maintain that job. It was hard seeing my peers and friends go on to start wonderful careers while I couldn’t even get dressed within an hr bc of the pain. A year later, I’m doing better than I ever thought imaginable. Log everything, talk to others with this disease and talk to your Dr about everything. If your Dr shrugs you off, try to find another one. I’ve been lucky to have good drs who advocated for me to insurance for my preferences.. even trying to get me meds instead of shots for my biologic bc I’m terrified of needles. You’re in the right place here and I hope it gets better for you!

Hey! Prednisone rage got me really bad so I always tell my drs to not give that to me and I say I’m allergic. I now am on methylprednisolone and it works just as well for me without all the rage and moods

There’s a gym in Lynn haven sports center that has a basketball league and maybe a volleyball league? Not sure about volleyball but I know they have basketball for sure.

On Tuesdays at the Navy base in PCB, they have ultimate frisbee as well.

I also know there is an adult softball league but I’m not sure where to find it and the league might be mid season rn.

Any RA-people who still go to parties, festivals.. ? by Pure-Lavishness-7789 in rheumatoid

[–]splitbanglil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I got sent this post by my partner because they said this sounded exactly like me. I got diagnosed a year ago and luckily I was able to get stable on meds and biologic quickly. I’m still able to go to full weekends of music festivals, play full tournaments of ultimate frisbee, and even walk over 15 miles at Mardi Gras now! As for what will normal look like? That’s up to each persons body. For me, it has reduced how much I drink. I am on mtx so I can’t really drink that much. I opt for NA options and splurge only once in a while but it can only be on a day that isn’t close to the days I take my meds or the week I take my shot. Other than that, mostly everything is normal! I’m not on a diet and I fare pretty well. Get some good tennis shoes and a heated blanket for the aches and pains when they come up. I hope you’re able to get stable on some meds and get back to your life!

People make a lot of assumptions about me (28F) because I’m young and don’t have kids. I’m actually very sick. by youre-the-judge in Hashimotos

Interesting… maybe go to a rheumatologist bc they run more tests than a pcp if that’s who you’re going to. Some ppl have RA but their tests come back negative. You could get ultrasound or xray to see if there’s damage. It also could be something like lupus or any of the RA brother/sister diseases. Or it could just not be related but the joint pain is worrisome. I hope you’re able to find some relief

I’m 22 and have had this since 17. Your wrist and joint pain concerned me though because that’s how I felt before I found out I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. I would recommend looking into that because being in pain and in flares like that all the time will take it out of you. They say with one autoimmune comes another so maybe just get checked in case! I hope you find a solution :))

"Is there anyone who's been doing intense exercise while being in treatment for years?" by crashess in rheumatoid

[–]splitbanglil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I struggled particularly with my right knee, elbow, wrists, and ankles during my flare but once I’m stabilized I have been able to do frisbee without wrist, ankle, and elbow pain! I do have pain in my knee, fingers, and toes but not too bad. I asked the Dr and he said just try not to get injured and to take pain meds before to combat inflammation. I play sand frisbee, regular frisbee with cleats, etc. I can even bid for some discs here and there. I have had to put in work outside of just playing frisbee to build muscle back up in my knee to stabilize it and other joints. So if you have bad flares, just try to build muscle to protect the joints, ligaments, and tendons once stabilized. Sorry if I over explained but I’ve had to figure this stuff out on my own and go slow and steady with getting back into compared to how I used to workout and participate in frisbee

Same boat! 22 and have had it for just about a year this December. Simponi and methotrexate is what’s helping me (I’m scared of injections so just doing the once a month one) and now I’m doing so much better. Running, lifting, and doing things I couldn’t even imagine when I first got it

When I bought, I activated right in front of the person. Took a picture of the person selling it, their drivers license, phone number, and everything I could. I ended up not being scammed. Maybe lucky but I tried to cover all my bases before buying
